Yea I am not giving up on him. I don't want to trade him at all. Just pointing out for people that want to trade him his full value he had when he was drafted has fallen a bit. He may need to show it at the NHL level to get it back
- TPC

I know his value isn’t what it was when he was drafted 9th overall, but he still has value. I wouldn’t include him in a trade if it weren’t for Lafreniere.

For Brady I’d be willing to overpay big time. Nils Kravtsov CAR 1st+++

It just doesn’t make any sense for Ottawa. They have a zillion prospects coming.

Tkachuk is the perfect guy to build around and they love him there

What could they possibly want the Carolina first rounder for?

Lol yeah, Calgary aren'tisn't trading him either, but we'd have a better shot at getting Matthew Tkachuk.

I really think RNH and Willy N are about the only two bigger name centers that their teams would even think about trading, and we aren't trading Strome back to Edmonton.

I want no part of Tyler Johnson, that guy has been washed for quite awhile now.

I really don’t want Strome back but, a one year deal sounds great imo. That gives Chytil more time to develop there, or Barron. You can’t commit 3-4-5 years to him, no how no way. 2 yrs max like some have said. I do believe he’s plan B at the moment, and a trade, for a center, is plan A. Expecting a 2C to be available is the hard part tho

If Cirelli is valued that high, I don’t mind Kravtsov and CAR 1st for Cirelli and TBL 2nd to make it work. We’re so loaded with prospects not everyone can fit and adding another to the mix while never a bad thing, it’s a 20+ pick that’s a few years away. Cirelli is young enough that I don’t mind trading the 1st to get him.
- nyrangers9479

Tampa isn't going to move Cirelli....they're going to move a Palat or Johnson in order to clear space to sign Cirelli.

the bolts are in 100% win now mode, they aren't going to trade a core piece for picks and prospects.

zero chance Ottawa moves him.......he's the face of the franchise, future captain. unless the rangers are sending the 1st overall pick, nothing else would even make Dorion consider it.

pretty sure they aren't full NTCs.....I think they're "submit a 10 team no trade list" type of NTCs.

I can't see any way they part with Cirelli

This is why I just have little interest in discussing hypothetical trades. None of us have any clue who the Rangers actually like or are targeting. It seems pointless to waste time debating and arguing different trade proposals that will never happen.

I am just in the wait and see approach mode haha

are we not having a conversation.....I can't give my opinion, especially about the team I follow religiously for the last 25 years.

I gave my opinion about Tampa because it's what you're talking about, and everything that has written by just about every expert and analyst suggests that the bolts are looking to move Palat and/or Johnson in order to sign Cirelli.....but what do ALL of those guys know

I really like Palat. He is a player that winning teams have. To bad he is a LW or I'd totally take him off Tampa's hands
