Now it is like figure skating with hockey sticks and a puck. The game looks nothing like real hockey at the higher levels.

Well that's understandable. I'm amazed you can turn your computer on.

The exact same "gimmie" goals from last year work this year. They talked about how they changed the goalie AI so much and the goalies could predict one timers so much better etc...all rubbish. The goalie plays the angle better on penalty shots...that's it.

Looking at the situation in Tampa Bay, I actually don't see how they could match just a $4.2 mill offer sheet ( 2nd round pick compensation ) on Cirelli or Sergachev. They have slightly less than $5 mill cap and need to sign 8 players.

Additionally ---- they only have just over $12 mill in cap space NEXT year, so they can't simply just kick the can down the road.

All of those NTC/NMC and not having a first round pick really ties their hands unless they can convince a player to waive their clause. I don't see why any player would waive because then they will pay higher taxes once they leave Florida. In essence, that new tax becomes a pay cut...

Part of me wonders if Steve Y left before this came to bite him.

Could Tampa do something unthinkable and move Point, Kucherov, or Vasilevskiy? Only 3 without clauses..what would the return look like for one of those guys?

More than I’d be willing to pay.

Point your probably looking at Chytil Kravtsov Nils CAR 1st+ .... the reason I picked these guys is bc they’re cost controlled, if they’re dumping salary they wouldn’t want a guy like Buch

If we cannot sign him to a one year deal I think you have to deal him. Chytil looks like he's ready to step up. We also have Kravtov who can play center or wing. We need to sign DeAngelo and down the road Mika. I would use the savings on Fast, Lemeiux, and Georgiev. Howden is a 3rd or 4th line centerman period!

We can’t keep Deangelo Fast and Strome unless Hank retires.

There were rumors that Gorton tried hard to pry Point out of Tampa last offseason but Tampa had no intention of letting him go. After the season he has had and with Stamkos being hurt a lot now, no way they move him.

No doubt, Hank's decision is the keystone of the moves made this offseason.

I would try to capitalize on Strome first, but there likely won't be many buyers and that's okay. ADA would be my next in line to capitalize on his high value, not because I want him gone.

Resign Fast at all costs and have him be the core of the bottom 6.

Maybe they consider putting Stamkos on LTIR.

Cheese factory goals all the time. I like some of what they did, but it doesn't seem like much of a difference than last season. Goalies are useless 3v3...they can stop anything.

They won't change sh!t until they make a game for the PS5...and that will be NHL 22 (NHL 21 confirmed for PS4 and XB1...nothing for PS5).

Staal can join him. He cannot be on this roster next season.

The same can be said for Staal too, no?

I don't see why either one of them would retire, but it will surely be mentioned hundreds of times until decisions are made.
