Before this series started, I predicted TBL in 6. And after the marathon game 1, I was totally sure there was no way CBJ would win game 2.

That belief came from the memory of the Flyers/Penguins series back in 2000, where the game after their marathon game, the Penguins were still clearly mentally drained from the previous game that they had lost... the game after was the only one that series the Flyers won without much of a fight from the Pens.

So this is what I was expecting to happen to CBJ in game 2, but boy, did they prove me wrong. Now, to me, this as a coin-flip series. And if TBL don't win game 3, I'll go out on a limb the other way to say that CBJ might win in 5 or 6.

I thought for sure Torts was done after the Vancouver insanity. I am just amazed by what he has accomplished in Columbus.

I love seeing these old school style teams getting it done in the playoffs.

These guys are something else.

Take a licking a keep on ticking... Nothing fancy or unique... just here we are ..

They just don't change a thing... same program and wait for you to make a mistake and capitalize.

I have to give a ton of credit to Columbus for winning that game. Losing game 1 must've been a real kick to the junk. Torts is an bumhole. But he's also one heck of head coach. Keep it going! 👍

Have to give Torts credit - he was able to pivot from some of his self-destructive behavior and channel that into being a better coach. Good for him.

Lightning pooped the bed and the Jackets played a solid game. Korpisalo outplayed Vasi.

Lightning are playing right into the hands of the BJs. BJs know how to counterpunch. When the lightning give them an opening they are going to take it and make them pay.

Foudy and Dubois are great dynamic players. Werenski and Jones play solid on both sides of the ice... best pairing in the league.

Torts is outcoaching the opposition and has better strategy that fits his team to a T. The BJs are a legit team. They would give the devils of old fits.

They remind me a lot of the old Devils from the clutch and grab era. They smother with their defense. And Torts is a smart coach - he outcoached Cooper last year and is doing it again this time.
