Maybe that's just to keep Marner's value up before he gets shipped out... - MisterBrown
Doesn’t make too much sense to me, his value doesn’t drop from a bad playoffs...and if it does that just proves the fact he won’t get traded even more.

What a wild game last night. I’m looking forward to the rest of your series - RickJames77
That was insane to watch. And I hope it's the last quintuple-OT game my team is involved in. It must have been great to watch it from the outside fan's perspective with no skin in the game. As a fan, it was nerve-wracking. I was almost as relieved as I was jubilant when the Lightning won.

maybe i didn't explain well enough. if dubas doesn't back up Marner like you said, then other teams will know they are looking to move him and his value drops since they feel Leafs want to move him. if he said he's not going anywhere and then some team calls to see whats up, they might throw out a proposal to "pry" him out of Toronto with an offer that's better than what they'd make if they thought Toronto wanted to move him.

I think the longest I’ve seen as a fan of the teams involved was 3OT and that was enough! So I could only imagine

I would say that the more likely outcome is that the season ended 3 days ago and he doesn't have a clue if they're going to commit to such a serious move or not yet.
People hanging on to his every word as if there's a story in there, reality is that these decisions more than likely haven't been made either way at this point.

yup - like the problem that Dubas 'knows' Ceci is actually much better than the rest of the world thinks - and he's going to prove if with 'internal data'.
what a joke of a GM - MaximusAurelius
Ceci wont be back
Sandin and the euro signing will in the line up and they'll sign cheap to mid range FA.
problem is dubas thinks holl is great and hes signed for another 2-3 years.
So we will see more holl.

Yup I was way wrong about Barrie, he sucked for this team. Was very very good for Colorado.
I can admit when I was wrong about something.
Time for you and anime to do the same.(I know you guys never will because you never have)
Or is the only explanation for when someone disagrees about Dubas “they must be worshiping him like a religion.”? - Santo_44
nah.. .I don't think you're worshiping .. I just think you're cognitively limited.
I have no problem admitting when I'm wrong... which I will gladly do - when I'm wrong... as far as you're concerned ... that really hasn't happened yet... nor is it likely to in the future.
I actually went back to primarily look to see if I said something stupid.. which I really didn't find - having looked through about 5-6 pages.. Then I lost my mind reading the crap you were posting. Thanks for that - needed a good laugh - and you delivered.
we can all get back to our regularly scheduled programming now... nothings changed.... other than one year of the Leafs core being used up on what was Dubas' failed defensive lab experiment.
