Wasted opportunity.
Canes highly beatable tonight and the Bruins just stopped skating. Too little too late. Reimer looked ... Like Reimer. Frustrating loss. - JEFF SPICOLI
lost count of the number of rebounds he gave up...
Ritchie benched last 13 minutes; KK was invisible I thought...I doubt it will happen but Studnicka would be interesting... |

No idea what Kuhlman is doing in the lineup over a guy who has the ability to maybe actually bring something to the table in Studnicka. Let the kid play for (frank)s sake.
How about this beauty from Rask in the post game presser ... Ooooooofff
Rask: “It doesn’t really feel like playoff hockey right now. There’s no fans. It feels like an exhibition game.”

Ritchie (frank)ing sucked. Coyle was sitting wide open in the slot waiting for a pass at one point while Ritchie just obliviously skated up the boards looking (frank)ing nowhere.
Studnicka should be in there over Kuhlman all day. |

see what happens i guess...Canes are pretty quick; Richie looks too slow out there..Stud would generate more space, but he is young...
wasn't a fan of his comments, but he isn't wrong. It isn't the same, but best to keep unsaid...bottom line, he has not been stellar, but he is still better than what Canes have in net; I think he will play saturday but if he doesn't perform, then I think Halak is in... |

I didn't have a problem with his comments, even as a fan watching it doesn't feel like a playoff game. As far as taking a leave goes I understand why he wants to, I've raised kids and it's bloody hard being away from them. I was away from my 1yr old for months and it was terrible.
I would have preferred he stayed till end of 1st round then let Halal take over but, I'm not in his shoes either. |

Working today, listening on the radio between appointments.
First off ... Tuukka. What a pansy. Time to trade his ass, sick of his BS.
Second, nice to see (or hear) Benoit potting another one. Dude is turning into a gem. Good stuff.
Hold it down, Jaro ... |

Really gutsy effort...Lindholm played well defensively...Coyle is Coyle and Chuck is awesome. Cliffy was a nice add
Great seeing Kraychee play this well; nice play on empty netter
Kudos to Halak beside that one play
Weekend will be good now |

My statement regarding Tuukka Rask:
Guy is mentally weak, always has been and always will be. This isn’t the first time he’s appeared disinterested. We’ve stated it many times over the years. The seeming inability to ‘go all in’ and elevate his performance is troublesome, and chronic at this point. Can’t think of any single big game in particular that Rask has ever ‘stolen’ for this team. Stanley Cup winning teams need that in the playoffs when the games matter. It’s my belief that the Boston Bruins will never win a Cup with Tuukka between the pipes.
The decision to ‘opt out’ now is a slap in the face to every Bruin in that room making the same sacrifice to be away from their family in pursuit of the Cup. I can only conclude that hockey and winning just aren’t that important to Rask. This was a decision that would have stung had he opted out before the players reported to the ‘bubble’, but it stings a lot harder now, at this point.
Two things can come of this, and neither bode well for Rask’s future in Boston. First, the Bruins could get bounced early and Rask will be the lightning rod for ‘hanging the team out to dry’ by leaving them handcuffed with Halak as their only option, or secondly, the Bruins could make a deep run and realize that they don’t need Tuukka and his $7 million dollar price tag along with his weak attitude.
Personally, I don’t think we’ll see Rask play another game as a Bruin. I’m not sure how he possibly could at this point. He carries a modified NTC which lists 15 teams that he can be traded to. I’m sure Don Sweeney has already familiarized himself with that list. Thanks for all you’ve done Tuukka, but it’s time to move on.
Go Bruins, Go Halak !!!!
Sincerely,
JS |
