I'm glad to see ghost get in a game as well! He looks poised for a comeback, doesn't he?

Hey, the 1 seed might be all gravy from here, but let’s keep this train rollin full speed into the ‘real’ playoffs.

Avoid injury and keep up this internal fire, boys!

Jake not with the team again is troubling...not from a game perspective, but just hoping all his well with his family.

Not available. That is all they are allowed to say, under the return-to-play rules agreed to by the NHL and NHLPA. Can't say what the reason is (injury, illness) or give a timetable. If the player himself (or his agent) wants to explain it, that is OK. But team management/coaches cannot.

Hopefully nothing just maintenance. Wonder if he’s someone who throws out an inconclusive or false positive test. But I don’t know.

Not worried about him yet. I don’t think he’s been firing on all cylinders yet. Not bad just been a little quiet imo. Team has been winning so it’s ok.

On a different note. Does anyone play ea. Haven’t for a while. Played a game online last night and remembered why I stopped. People only use the same top teams. With all their 90 plus speed skaters. Ridiculous.

Good to see Ghost getting some work. Would like to see him have a great game.

Let's hope Farabee takes advantage of the opportunity to play with G and Coots.

Get the win tonight, Flyboys! NO ONE outside of this blog gave the Flyers any shot at 1st in the East. At least 10 "reporters" on ESPN NHL site predicted the Flyers would be 3rd or 4th.

It was discussed a couple of days ago that Jake took a high hit last game and was also apparently limping even before the game. I suspect its injury related. Hopefully minor.

I would like to see JVR on 1st pp. No is shielding the goalie enough.

It will be interesting to see if Ghost brings something to the 2nd unit.

With injuries comes opportunities. Ghost got hurt at one point, which saw Provorov step up and Provorov has never looked back.

Myself personally would like to see JvR back in the crease as an adjustment but I’d also like to see Hayes take Voracek’s right half/right point position.

My top PP unit today would very much be Giroux, Provorov, Couturier, Hayes and JvR. The second would kind of be a mix bag, I’d like to see Konecny play the left half wall more in Giroux’s spot on the second unit. Probably Konecny left half wall, Niskanen right half wall (prefer Sanheim) Ghost top of the umbrella, Farabee in the slot, Grant or NAK in the crease.

Wouldn’t mind seeing Hayes take over for Jake today. Nisky has been great on that second unit on the right half wall, I’m not moving him.

Better to rest Voracek because it doesn’t matter who we play, we’re gonna beat them, confidence, just want a healthy squad when the real deal starts

Would love to get that 1 seed but I'll take playing really well heading into the playoffs. Let's keep the momentum going. Tampa Bay has had their number this season so I won't scream chicken little over a loss.

That's a good point. Hayes has shown immense creativity in his play 5 on 5. Made great passes. It would be interesting to see what he can do in Jake's position.

Unfortunately, pp tend to be pretty scripted. Unless they have practiced that setup, they may not choose to experiment for the first time in a game.

I don’t know. I look at the playi styles positions and chemistry. Hayes has good chemistry with k
Tk. As g coots and jake do as well. Without jake I could see jvr as a possible net front. Also don’t like that both pp have a forward on defense.

Looks like Flyers get the winner of Toronto and Columbus if they lose.

I think the tampon guys is afraid what JVR could do, with his stealthy hide in the shadows approach.
