For years, I’ve been told that David Savard is an incredible defenseman. I’m not seeing it at all. To me, it seems like Darian Hatcher syndrome. He was a Norris finalist until they changed the rules to prevent ridiculous clutching and grabbing, and then his career was immediately over.
As soon as the league decides that seven blatant cross-checks to a player’s spine is no longer acceptable, Savard’s career will be done. He does nothing else |
