in an amazing turn of events, you were somehow never hired, just fired.

Jonathan Drouin
I didn’t like the trade when it happened but could live with it. As time went on I disliked the trade more, but hoped he would get it together. Now I just hate the trade. He is total garbage. It’s time to cut the losses and just get rid of him. At this point I’d take a 5th round pick, just to get the 5 million cap space.
It sucks we wasted one of our rare good first round picks of the last decade. But poop happens. Tampa originally selected him above Seth Jones. The Bruins are a powerhouse team and screwed up picks 13, 14 AND 15 in a ridiculously good draft.
Just move on |

I think the coaching staff will be stubborn on playing Drouin because 1- the team is in dire need of offense, and if Drouin can wake up he might contribute and 2- benching him will basically result in making him even less tradeable... it sucks because we've seen what he can do, and watching him play right now leaves you with the impression that he's lazy and/or indifferent. it might not be the case, but it's frustrating for sure. |

I want to see something straight outta wrestling. The other night, I called for a DDT/RKO on Crosby. Now I REALLY want it to happen. Drouin flips his lid COMPLETELY, hits a devastating head-centric move on Crosby, and in the ensuing bench clearing brawl, he skates over to Malkin, spits blood and teeth at his feet, and yells out with a Nicolas Cage worthy crazy eyed grin, "YOU'RE THE MAN NOW, DOG!" before he's taken away.
C'mon Gary, spread the money and make it happen... |

Drouin is like the Vinny Lecavalier when he was with the Flyers. Contract was not worth the production he put on the ice. But Drouin is much younger and I think he can turn things around and still contribute. |

If that's the real (new) drummer of Slipknot.....he's the son of Max Weinberg who was the drummer for Bruce Springstein and the Conan O'Brien show. Hell of a drummer. But you'd have to be to take over Joey Jordisons spot.

maybe the habs should hire Nicholas Cage and give him a few shifts, even if he plays like poop he might scare the opposing team

Was disappointing to see see CJ reward Drouin with ice time when they pulled the goalie. There were other options to use, and given that Drouin is the master of turnovers and with an Empty net, you'd think another player would have been out there.
Someone more deserving.
I just do not see CJ moving Drouin down to the 4th line or sitting him out.

Gotta say I liked the trade when it happened but really thought he had more heart and grit than that...he's got 0 confidence and turns the puck over every time he's on the ice. |

yeah Jay Weinberg has been the drummer since 2014. I wasn't aware Joey Jordison suffered from "acute transverse myelitis", which made him lose the use of his left leg... |

he almost ended the first game because of his speed, but yes lets give him away for a 5th rounder ( on the first breakway, not on the 2nd peanutesqe one !)
You know who was total poop last night ( and in the first game too) (frank)ing Armia
3 penalities, kills the offense everytime he touch the puck and was responsible for what was almost the only goal of the game...oh here Sid, i'll let him skate by...
And oh : I would much rather see either Evans or Phoeling replacing Weal |

... But in real hockey talk, I expect line changes tonight, just because of the ability to make the last change. I almost see Danault-Tatar-Gallager, to take more "3rd line" assignments to continue the heavy coverage of Crosby. |

Weal and Weise should be replaced by Evans and Poehling.
Could even replace Drouin with Hudon for one game and see how it goes... |

Armia did have a rough night, but in fairness, one of those penalties was a real bullpoop call.
I'd still rather Armia on the ice than Drouin. |

I'd replace Drouin with a hamster....
If the Habs take the Pens out, I think they should entertain moving their 1st round pick |

When they were both with the Flyers everyone wanted them replaced with the Flyers younger prospects lol |
