There have been some surprising finishes to games so far. Pitt lost. Edmonton lost. The keys lost two of their top players in one game... Rangers shesterkin (so?) Unfit to play.... This has been an exciting first day!

Yesterday was absolute win for hockey! A great day for hockey! Today will be even better because now, this group can be invested. If we play like we did on Tuesday, we can win!

Has anyone noticed that they are changing some of the ads on the boards to match whatever is at the home team’s arena? That’s gotta be a somewhat time consuming process to do that in between every game.

The big fat hockey experts told me pens was so good. 2 sweeps was predicted. But they now have lost 6 playoff games in a row!!!! It's great for the Flyers to have warm up games against teams which are more talented than our 1st round opponent will be. We've shown we can beat the Caps and that we can hang with the Bruins and Lightning

Watched the game last night. The announcers the whole first period talked about how the pens were better, more experienced, and the only way the jabs could win is if price stood on his head. Not saying it isn’t somewhat correct. But when the habs pushed back no credit was given.

As much as we'd all love to see the Penguins knocked out in the qualifying round, remember that if they lose, they'll be in the lottery with a decent chance at the #1 pick. We need them to beat the Canadiens.

Yeah I forgot that. My thought initially was that the vet teams like Pitt wash tampa and Boston might be recharged for their run. As a young team we lose the advantage on this setup as we were coming on strong in March. We’ll see I guess but I expect Boston to bring it when the cups are down.

Does seem like the teams who have nothing to lose like chi and Montreal are playing well.

I don’t remember how the Draft Lottery works this year. Don’t they re-seed and do another lottery after the qualifying round with all the teams that are eliminated from the actual playoff rounds?

The 8 teams eliminated from the qualifying round each have a 12.5% chance to win the 1st overall draft choice in a 2nd lottery.

Each losing team in the play in gets an equal shot at #1. After that the rest will be given the remaining picks according to seeding.
