The Jays were scheduled to have their home opener against the Nats in their own ballpark. I guess when things went sideways in securing a home ballpark they decided to just "pretend" to be the home squad for the first two games of their home and home 4 game set with Washington.

Wonder how many more of those we'll get this season?

Be even better if their interviews were not so scripted so often. Original thought dies in the NHL like no other league in the world. Reporters gotta be the worst at leading questions that pretty much answer themselves. If it were me I’d start with ‘in your own words’ wtf happened out there Connor? Etc etc etc

Too flowery imo is all. In Van many fans don’t like how Benning talks as if it matters in the big picture. He sure luvs his ‘ya know’ filling in for his pauses of thought. Articulating is his challenge that fans here like to dwell on.

Both teams & you can add the Canucks to the list. Each team has players that give it their best at both ends but in the end not enough buy in. These PO’s are sink or swim time. If they don’t get it now I doubt they ever will. Coaches can only beat it into their heads so much how details can be the difference. Some will say coaches eventually lose the room & end up fired due to that. Coaches & fans alike see a F or D lose his check so often that it results in goals & it’s frustrating. Sure positioning is most of it but focus is the real issue.

When I played I saw who was a goal suck & lazy & who competed giving their all. The pretty boys always got the benefit of the doubt & the glory & the grinding hard worker left to do the dirty work. PO warriors win games.
