I'm not concerned either way. 12.5%

lol those are pretty much the exact odds of the Nucks winning this series now. 87% of all teams that win GM 1 in a five game series move on...

Yeah. That might change a little without real home ice advantage.

Either way, either they come back and win the series or Aug. 10th is a really exciting day.

LMAO... so the Pens, OIlers and Leafs are toast... come on that's such BS. Obvious the defensive minded teams had an edge in game 1 where its harder to get offensive passing and shot timing to the level needed to overcome tight checking.

The Canucks lost because Marky let in 2 soft ones and didn't get on the PP early to balance out scoring. Next game they just have to bull their way to the net and draw penalties if need be with speed. Inserting JV will help with that too.

Edit. Oil are toast they got schooled by a real playoff team.

Bullsh*t! The team lost. The coaching staff lost. It was not on the shoulders of one player. Like the rest of the team, Markstrom could have been better.

I know that 2nd goal went gaping 5 hole but it's through a screen from like 8 feet away.

Edler needs to get the (frank) out of the way. He should know better. Looking forward to the post-Edler era.

Exactly. Through the screen of a D man going down to block a shot. You expect him to take away the lower part of the ice, so Marky tried to take away the top part.

LOL... the coaches don't play that's the biggest BS ever posted in HB but your narratives are true crap. Marky admitted in the press conference and all pundits did say those were softies that were let in. That was game set and match against a stingy defensive team that wasn't making mistakes.

If the Canucks had early PP then they could have responded to the 1st softy. But they shot themselves in the foot jumping over the boards early with Marky not realizing to get off yet.

Where the coaching is to blame is the line up. Plain and simple not the right combos to play to strengths to beat the Wild.

I'd really like Juolevi to get a shot next game. Time to see what you have.

No they don't. They prepare the players and set the systems. You should pay more attention to the game and not your pom-pom selfies on Instagram.

Yes he's a better puck mover to Fatty to laser some passes through tight D and a good PK specialist now too.

The team scored zero goals, that's not on Markstrom that's on the other skaters.

The team looked unmotivated, that's on coaching and the players themselves. Blaming Marky exclusively is an all too familiar and easy out.

Social media is your thing with your titanium pom poms rammed up your spine on spewing your crap narratives. You can't prep intensity and execution that's on the players. Line up selection on the coaching.

What?

You absolutely as a coach can find ways to motivate your players.

Its not a blame on Marky don't get lost in narratives. The facts were no PP goals to counter by Canucks. Plus the PK let down where the biggest PKer is your goalie to stop point shots. Marky knows he needs to be better. So do the players in generating scoring. The Wild played a perfect defensive game they won't get better at that. So the margin for improvement lies with the Canucks to execute better.

Very nice. It's asking the impossible of your goalie to win without scoring.

You said the reason they lost were soft goals and no PP's early on.

I think most of us saw a team that just didn't bring enough.

I think it was bloated that said a week or so ago the Canucks needed to find ways to score or they'd be in trouble.

Its not about motivation at that level they have it. Its about execution and the intensity of getting it done. That's on the players doing what they were coached to do. The coaching strategy though was off and line up selection not good enough.
