The most frustrating thing about this team over the last few years is the glimpses they show of just how good they could be. Yet, they never consistently play that way. It's time to prove it, starting today. It is indeed time for them to earn some respect. Let's (frank)ing go! |

Keys for the day:
1. Bob just holds his own. Relax, don't give up the easy ones.
2. Shoot, don't pass. Quit the fancy-pants act (particularly on the power play). Put shots on goal and be in position to deal with rebounds and deflections. Take advantage of the few breakaway opportunities.
3. No dumb penalties.
4. Clear the blue paint in front of Bob. Don't let Islanders park themselves there.
5. Score first. Grab momentum and confidence; could carry through entire series.

Bob played well. Panthers had some chances, but need to generate more. Spent most of the first period short handed, and got nothing at all going. Still some turnovers when trying to exit their zone, but don't remember any of the foolish giveaways they're prone to that lead to odd man rushes against Bob. They can still take this series. Gotta find a way to break through that Isles defense. Obviously game two is a must win. |

We will never win much if anything with our defense. The one guy with any toughness is benched. Psysk should be back on defense but we can’t find a 4th line guy to take his spot |
