Does anybody know, do these games and points count for a players career playoff games played and playoff points?

I mentioned my concerns with them. Boqvist is supposed to be offensive minded however we didn't see any of those skills from him and he at times looked timid with the puck.

I thought for the most part the forwards did a good job shutting down Edmonton's forwards.

Eloy and Robert with HRs in the same game for the first time.

I’m gonna go out on a limb and say it might happen a couple more times.

Bovquist was better as the game went on and ripped some nice shots from the point. At least he looks like he knows what he should be doing even if it doesn't get there. Nylander is just baaaaaaad.

I agree nylander doesn't do anything to help create a dangerous line. It's easy then to shut kane down knowing nylander is useless.


I still think boqvist looked a bit timid maybe it's his inexperience, time off or maybe keith told him to just play defense and not try to push the limits of his game.

Dehaan and murphy where solid.

Overall nice game just disappointed in the final minutes chicago took their foot off the gas

Yes they said these games count as playoff games for those who were interested in knowing.

I thought the video playing where they had fans chanting Edmonton seemed a bit silly and kinda quiet . But it was cool that each team was represented after scoring a goal as their respective stadiums would do if it where their home games

For a vast majority of the game the Hawks straight up spanked them.

Being 3 strong centers deep + Kamf killing time in the other end is kind of a thing. Dunno how they pay Dom. He's just out there living life a quarter mile at a time.

Wouldn't mind Sikura relieving Nylander and bumping El Gato to the Kane line. Talk about a black hole and turnover machine. The kid is clueless.

Nice to see them win and hopefully Monday is a good game as well.

No. Nylander had several that were bad. The kids blade is where plays go to die.

DCat just chased around and dug on the boards which isn't something you want him doing. He has a +40 goal season which does count for something even if he has been off this year.

If they win the lottery the Oilers should look into trading a center. Or Yamomoto. Since McDavid and Drsisalti are the two most valuable centers in the league, tha leaves LaFraniere. You need to get a good dman in a trade. So after he has one year nhl experience, trade him for an equally developed dman prospect. Or just a good young dman _ - if they want to advance in playoffs

I realize this sort of trade does not happen often. In fact more like rarely. Edmonton is in an unique position if they draft Lafraniere. They do themselves no favor trading Lafraniere too early (rookie season) since you cannot easily trade him for a quality nhl dman. Whether in a package deal or not, the objective should be to get a good young dman in return. If none can be had, then keep Lafraniere until a dman is available for Lafraniere.

We saw how Edm had what was it like five first round early picks and took centers. Then when they took a dman Nurse sucks. He may one day be half descent but that probably comes through experience, not talent. Actually he does not think and make good plays defensively and he is pegged to be that sort of player

So Edm can hope Bouchard and Broberg work out but their aim should be to trade for a dman or try to draft one of the two top dmen in 2020. If they draft Lafraniere then trade front gets interesting....again probably not immediately expect a big trade

Nylander had a good game. He's young (23 I think). He is doing exactly what Versteeg did for Richards and Kane. He is enough of a threat to distract D while Kane and his center do work. Versteeg had established that role, Nylander can grow into a secondary threat. Our standard for Kane's opposite wing cannot be Panarin.
