We haven’t even mention that the Leafs have the best right-winger depth in the league as well (on what other team is Kapanen on the third line?) or that a fourth line featuring Kyle Clifford and Jason Spezza is also the tops.

i didn't think it was possible for Tanner's poop to get worse than the verbal diarrhea he posts on this site, but that article was (frank)ing embarrassing. if i wrote something that blatantly ridiculous, i literally wouldn't be able to put my name on it.

CBJ in 4 or 5.

Bingo, I understand that a lot of offense left the CBJ last year.

Last time I checked this is the 2019-2020 season, not the 2018-2019 season. The CBJ lost more man-games than any team in the league this year, including most of their offense. All but Josh Anderson are healthy now, and a lot of young players did well this season.

And at best for Toronto the Goalie situation is a wash, especially with the well-known weakness in the Leaf's D-core that leaves Anderson hung out to dry too many nights.

It should be a good series, but dismissing the CBJ is a bad call.

The bad news for Leafs is Columbus had far better, spectacular goaltending BUT it's avery small sample size. Can they continue that after 5 months off?

Columbus was much more reliant on goaltending than the Leafs this year.

And BTW Leafs lost more man games to important core players than Blue Jackets did.

D sucked, come on over...still have most of the games on the PVR. Weird his SV% dropped when we had injuries to our 2 best D and some too end talent up front. Tap ins and more tap ins.

I wouldn't argue that too much. So overrated. And people always use bad save % beacuse of defense. How come orther goalies and paly in worse systems and have good numbers?

If Columbus didn't get 940 % from their goalies for about 7 weeks they'd be a bottom feeder. A true team carried by goaltending.

I suspect the reasons are business model related rather than personal (for low quality blogs).

1. Low quality pieces get just as many hits as high quality ones.
2. Ads do not depend on how long a visitor stays on the page, just how many unique hits there are.
3. The # of people who expect high quality blogs and are actually motivated enough to complain about it are vocal but don't understand they are a very small % of total, and thus economically irrelevant.
4. It may even be true that ads depend not just on # of people visiting but total # of hits (including repeats). Stir people up and they will keep responding, and others will keep seeing comment # go up and thus will check back to see who said what. Post a long thoughtful piece and people won't even finish reading it and they will not have anything to say if you have covered all the angles.

Just my idle speculation.
