It doesn't matter who the Coyotes are actually playing. Tanner isn't going to watch the game anyway. He hasn't reported on anything in camp. We don't know what the lines are. We don't know anything about Kessel being demoted to the 4th line for part of the camp. I previously asked whether he expected goalies to alternate during some of these back-to-back games. He has no answer for that. You would think he would be excited to report that Keller has been the best player at camp. But why report on this when there is politics and movies to write about it.
Anyway, looking forward to his boxscore analysis after the game. |

I would like to point out that the people that mentioned chia as a GM option were nobodies, the most credible being a journalist for the Edmonton journal to which I’m not even sure if he has connections with the oilers let alone what’s going on with the yotes. A case of a couple people throwing something at a wall to see if it would stick.
I believe he has managed to keep his head a float somewhere in the league and may even get an interview for the yotes but given his track record he would have an uphill battle to secure the job over pretty well every other candidate. Not something I would seriously worry about |

What I heard was that the NHL was pushing him as a candidate.

Hey man, you can get all of this stuff elsewhere. The only reason you don't think I'll watch the game is because you are can't conceive of the idea that people can think and act completely differently than you would without being idiots.
Being interested in hockey is a hobby, which means it exists for fun, and I am here to provide Phoenix Coyotes-centric entertainment.
I can tell you that the readership of this blog suggest I am doing a good job, and that people are happy to get some hockey stuff that at least tries not to be formulaic and predictable.
Want to know the lines? Go to dailyfaceoff.
My sense is that there are a lot of different hockey sites that will give the basics with a take that tends towards being the most popular and the least controversial and that no one needs another example of that.
When someone else eventually takes over this gig, I am sure you will get exactly what you want, and you'll be in the comments section saying "this is how its done" which will be cool, except for the 98% drop in readership.
Until then, this is a freaky orgy of fun from the only hockey writer in the world who is trained in advanced giraffe linguistics, dentistry, and ultimate fighting.
You don't need to spend nine hours a day thinking about it either. |

And no one is saying it's a problem that "people can think and act completely differently than you would without being idiots." He was saying that YOU are an idiot. Big difference. |

First of all, they are the Arizona Coyotes, not Phoenix Coyotes. How impressive that you've made that error for like the 18th time.
Second, take a look at a real pro like Bill Meltzer. He's not just copying and pasting the lines, but actually inserting his expert opinion. Why aren't you doing that? You wrote some big blog about how Tocchet the dinosaur wasn't playing Garland enough. Based on what you are hearing from camp, has Tocchet adapted? Is Garland playing more? Is Garland playing with more skilled players? Why do you think Kessel got demoted to the 4th line and pulled off the PP? Was he out of shape? What did Tocchet say about the situation? Some teams have focussed very heavily on special teams during these camps. Did Arizona do that too, or Phoenix as you like to call them.
Sorry, seems like a cop-out to tell readers that there is nothing useful to report. You have a platform to talk about this franchise but you do very little of it. And the fact you are doing all of these things on another site to cover the Leafs is hypocrisy at its finest. |

Hey Tanner. Can you explain this more. You claim the NHL is pushing Chiarelli as a candidate. Who specifically is speaking on behalf of the NHL? The NHL doesn't have an ownership stake in the Coyotes, so why would they be meddling and trying to get Chiarelli a job? Was the mythical "NHL" pushing Chiarelli as a candidate for other GM jobs, or just the Coyotes job for random reasons? You clearly worked up about. Every article makes some reference to how inept Chiarelli is, but do you have any evidence that Coyotes management is being influenced by the NHL to hire him? |

Oh and by the way, Hall and Gaudreau would not be the best 1-2 LW's in the NHL.
I'll take Panarin-Kreider over that duo all day long.
Same with Ovechkin-Vrana.
The irony is Hall-Gaudreau wouldn't even be the top LW's on the Flames. Tkachuk is better than both of them, certainly better than Gaudreau. Maybe on par with Hall, but I give Tkachuk the nod for being younger and not made of glass.
Disclaimer...I didn't check any of the Jfresh cards. I just watch the games. |

Gaudreau, Hall, AND Tkachuk. I just don’t see it happening.
My money was on the coyotes until these last few weeks changed all that. Now I’m putting all my money on the Avalanche! |
