Chayka makes some sense to me from an Experience, Analytics and Weaponizing the Cap.
That said, it probably doesn't make sense to the Pegula's from an Experience and Cost (lean) perspective.

Doesn't that article (or maybe I read it somewhere else) say that he was looking at a "non-hockey" job?

Chayka born june of 1989 🙊

I could definitely see this being the pegulas target hire:

Young, likes analytics and has dealt with a crappy organization and budget

I think they can push back the RF wall,
there’s just parking behind it
Idk how long it would take to redo the field though?

Maybe they add height to the walls?

I literally said just that when he demanded a trade. Don't worry, fast larry can't hurt you anymore. He gone. Just like the twins are about to be. And we'll be better off for all of it.

Why does the 3C have to be on a checking line? The Sabres were most successful when they had three scoring lines in recent memory. The fourth line can be the checking line and there are going to be players available due to the cap and they won't all be top paid ones. I would consider Larsson a goner and a waste of time contemplating keeping him.

I would love Cozens to center the third with MoJo and Kohun but we always get our hopes up for 8th and now this is a 7th pick overall and are usually disappointed right away. They need to trade for a 2nd center to play with Skinner and maybe Thompson, Jack with OV and ?

The Fourth Line - They trade or sign a FA for a 2 way center, Okposo and whoever

- GilPerreault11

We had the Drury line that played in a very defensive role

So if u don’t want Larsson back,
what Center do we have that’s capable?

You don’t want to take away from Jack’s offense,
we obviously need all we can get
You don’t wanna put Cozens in that type of position as a rookie
Mitts certainly shouldn’t be either

And we all know we need to bring in a Center for the 2C spot who can provide offense
That’s gonna be hard enough to get, let alone a guy who’s also good enough defensively as well

So that leaves our options for the “defensive center” spot at...

*Larsson- a guy who we’ve see be really good at it for over 2years now

*Lazar- a guy who struggled to consistently crack an NHL roster

*Asplund- a guy who did hold his own defensively, but only in 29 games, and not against the talent Larsson did, and was on pace for 8pts this past season... Larsson was on pace for that many goals

It’s beyond obvious who the choice should be

And pretending like we are gonna be able to get a decent 2way center like say Soderberg (who someone threw out) is a LONG SHOT with what a disaster this organization is right now

PLUS...
Adams is a rookie GM with ZERO experience
Why do we want to give him ANOTHER hole to fill
He’s already more than got his work cut out for himself

Yes it could be hard for the Sabres to attract FA, but with the Flat Cap, there aren't gonna be as many suitors for the UFA'S either.

I bought the 365 for my wife, little more compact, fits her hand nicely. I have a P226 which is fantastic. And a Glock. Not sure what I am gonna do yet, been shooting the Glock 17 and they are pretty decent. I am leaning towards the P320, there are very accurate.

Sure
But one would assume that the desirable players can still find homes on better teams than us,
don’t ya think??

I guess I’d put it this way...
I don’t think the PLAN, to fill an important role for us, should be depending on a UFA to come here

How many good 2way Centers are even available as UFAs?
-Soderberg had 35pts,
pretty sure he’ll have plenty of options to choose from
-Brassard had 32pts,
and there’s really no one else u could say is both GOOD defensively AND provides offense

I’m just doubting that there won’t be 2 better teams looking for a 2way Center out there

Oh I totally agree, but money only goes so far and the top FA will take a lot of that. We will just have to see how everything falls. The Sabres should be able to pluck a decent option from a team in trouble.

Chill, and let the season end, trades and FA start with this flat cap and don't beat yourself up over Johan Larsson who is most likely leaving faster than you kiss Sam's arse.

I feel like we say that EVERY year,
and then somehow the Tampa’s of the league figure it out & we’re still left with big holes in our lineup
And losing Larsson just creates another one,
for a rookie GM with no experience to try & fill

And that’s your take on how to replace Larsson??
Good one (not)

Your streak of continuous bad takes is impressive though... I’ll give ya that!
