I'd look hard at that. Team with Eichel Cirelli and Cozens? Christ.
- TheSabresTaco

That’s why I would like Rossi/Lundell.

Cause odds are Cirelli ain’t getting moved and you have to draft those types of players.

I was hoping he would have more of an offensive game and end up being a quality 3C.

He can hardly score at the AHL level so I highly doubt he’ll be anything more then a PK and 4th liner

- Pegullaville

maybe...but we'll get a better indication as to what he has going for him (or not) with a full nhl season...

people keep talking about bad picks, and of course there always will be picks like that, however the sabres haven't been particularly good at developing talent

Asplund can't score goals in the AHL, Lazar can't score in the NHL.

Larsson had the second highest GAR on the entire Sabres team..

But sure, cap savings

Someday we will actually be good

Per Vogl, The Athletic:

Pittsburgh
The perennial Cup contenders are in cap trouble every year, yet they still manage to add players and win. But with eight RFAs – including the goalie tandem of Matt Murray and Tristan Jarry – something has to give.

Realistic target: Nick Bjugstad.

There’s always a concern with the words “spinal surgery,” which Bjugstad underwent in May to repair a herniated disc, but the risk to the Sabres is minimal. The 6-foot-6 center has just one year left on his $4.1 million contract before becoming a UFA. If healthy, Bjugstad is another option who’d allow Cozens and Mittelstadt to ease into the lineup.

CAN I GET A BUEGWATCH 2020

Just gotta hope you can get 40 games out of him before he needs double leg replacement surgery.

My list of center candidates, ranked:

1.) Cirelli
2.) Monahan
3.) Hintz
4.) Henrique
5.) Soderberg
6.) Bjustead
7.) Sign Jochen Hecht from German beer league
8.) Do nothing

I like that list actually. Someone earlier mentioned a disgruntled Swede on the Rangers that happens to be a center. Who is that and are they on the list?

Following up on the Vogl article someone linked to earlier, here is his Part 2, which looks at potential trade options.

I haven't read it yet, but holy poop the Blackhawks are $8M over the cap before re-signing Kubalik and Strome (assuming John's numbers are accurate)! They had three big contracts on LTIR.
