I think Chad must have read my post on here last week when I said we should use our top players on the PK more often.

Just be a man, quarantine away from your family for a few months while youre making an TON of money and return to your family later. I love Tre, and this is his decision to make. Personally, I'd go play and make money. Lots of people make lots of sacrifices for the long term betterment of their family (and country, etc.).

Took me 10 minutes to even find this blog since it's not on the main page anymore.

Stupid GARF should just pin a blank Sabres blog to the front page every week since Sabres fans appear to make up 90% of the traffic on this site.

literally can't have a conversation with the guy

a fringe 20 goal scorer, should be on a bad pp unit's second team

the guy can kill penalties, so should be on second pk unit as he makes them better

typical third liner plays 12 to 13 minutes a night 5 on 5

3 days later, he still doesn't get it

- homiedclown

Sorry u can’t handle me pointing out your contradictions
It’s not my fault that u can’t wrap you mind around Vesey not getting the icetime u wanted for him bc we had to play line4 so much
He got just under 14min a night
NyR played him 16min a night
Maybe that would’ve been possible,
but not the 18min that u wanted

And I’m only responding again bc u can’t stop talking about me
Yet I’m the one who’s “petty”

I dont buy the "raw deal" vesey narrative. He went 20 games without a goal to start the season, so he's supposed to play more? Botterill's whole shtick regarding Vesey was that he's a 5-on-5 producer. Plus our PK sucked with him. Good riddance to Vesey for the second time. He was a pointless addition
- jcragcrumple

Plus Vesey had a total of 2 PP goals in the previous 2 years COMBINED
So it’s not like the PP was a strength of his

He’s on his rookie contract still,
so not making a “ton of money”
He can take this year off, and still get a huge contract extension next year
And he & his family are peas at risk

It wouldn’t be a crazy decision by any means if he chooses to skip the season
Probably makes more sense for him to do so even

Bc Homie was all upset that we traded a 3rd for him, so we couldn’t use that pick to offersheet someone (which doesn’t happen anyways)

But then he went on to say how he likes Vesey & Ralph should’ve played a 3rd liner who was playing poorly for us 18min a night,
even though that’s rare for 3rd liners & generally only done by guys who are 2nd line quality that are playing on “line3” (like DeBrincat, that u guys went back n forth about)

With no offseason for Allen to improve & the tough schedule we’ve got...
Super Bowl this year was a BIG long shot anyways

We aren’t on the level of KC or BAL yet,
not till Allen takes that “leap” forward

How the f*ck was Vesey supposed to play almost 1/3 of the game? That would have got the Sabres somewhere.

What was the last offersheet that was done in the NHL? The guy on the other end has to agree to the offersheet and the craphole which the Sabres are isn't going to have players knocking down their door looking to sign offersheets to come here that are not even offered that often. Why do people beat themselves up over that crap?

80 out of 1600.

We'll see what tomorrow brings, but most of the stars are still in camp.

I think it will be interesting to see as well if teams have big groups of COVID outbreaks during the season like MLB is having with some teams.

blah blah blah blah blah

how much ice time does a third line winger get 5 on 5

how much ice time does a second team pp winger get

how much ice time does a second team pk winger get

don't respond if you can't add that up

If the NFL does experience outbreaks, which I believe they will given non-bubble format, then I would assume the NHL will need to seriously consider what to do for the next season relative to their environment. No bubble doesn't seem like the best route.
