Henrique ought to be a target for the Sabres this off-season. I would package the #8 pick and Mittlestadt or Borgen, for Henrique and the 1st RD pick Anahiem has from Boston.

I'd hate to lose Rico ... but if Zegras is as good as advertised.. that seems like a solid deal for both..
Rico is vastly underrated. He doesn't take bad penalties and can play both C & W equally well.

I just don't know how we replace 26 goals..

Not giving up the 8th pick in the draft for Henrique, he's a decent player, but not for the 8th pick.

Its why in getting Henrique I would require the Ducks include the 1st pick from Boston be included. Look you are not getting a goal scoring 2C with term for peanuts. Go big or go home.

Well like I said he's decent, not a very good playmaker, don't know how good him and Skinner would match up. Guess it would depend on where that Boston pick ends up. Still don't think I would do the 8th pick for him.

Or stay off message boards posting silly trade ideas when you're high...

It would be lunacy to trade the 8th overall for Henrique.

It's fantasy land and would never happen.

Isn't that the whole purpose of HB... and esp.. EK.

Henrique is 30 early in the '20-21 season, with a Cap hit of $5.8m for next 4 seasons while he has historically produced at a 0.60 ppg. It is reasonable to expect his production and therefore his Value to drop continuously. That Boston 1st is going to be a very late pick ...28-31, not really enough to offset the bad value for 3 of the 4 remaining years.

If they retained say $1 - $1.5m I's consider it if Ducks took back player with same Cap hit like Montour...but not the 8th, no way, no how.

I'd look at Risto for Rico .. straight across. maybe some picks swapped to balance things out.

Risto for Rico seems reasonable base for a swap, can't see Anaheim wanting Montour back they traded him to Buffalo.

Some other minor pieces or picks to balance it out or add on.

For us it really depends on Trevor. If he's as good as advertised and nothing I've seen leads me to believe otherwise.. Then Rico, as much as I'd hate to see it.. could be and should be dealt.

With Guds only signed for another year we'd need another RD that could add PP points and eat some minutes.
