Where a mask, don't wear a mask ... whatever (personally, I'm a mask wearer). Do whatever you want when it comes to the mask. But at the very least, if you're NOT wearing a mask...can you all please practice social distancing ?? Stop going to effing family/social/huge gatherings ? Is that too much to ask, you #@$% !?!?! Jesus H Christ - this isn't rocket science. Stay away from people ! Do not be within coughing, sneezing, or breathing distance ! It's that simple.

And don't say "that's impossible". Our family has been doing it since January. Working from home, having groceries delivered, and no family events/gatherings at all. Hell, my father died in May. We weren't allowed to have a big, church funeral or wake at the time. We had 10 people at the cemetery on Harlem ... that's it. And we all had masks on and stayed 6 feet apart. It can be done.

To be clear 100%...
I do wear a mask when in a public space where distancing is difficult.
Outside walking the dog where no one is around for 200 yards, nope, not gonna do it.

I do it for others to feel comfortable even though most recent information suggests the efficacy isn't great. But whatever, no need to be a Richard.

So what are we looking at to try and pry Alex Tuch from Vegas. Looks like they have some older Dman. Would they do it for a Yound Dman and unfortunately Pekar, or maybe a 2nd, don't really want to lose Pekar but if that's what it takes.

Particles so small they travel through the common mask fibres and linger for 16 hours in the air.
Saw it on the news Thursday and Friday I think it was.
Not contrarian, unless you consider studies to be so...whatever.

Caused me to have a flashback of about 3 months ago, talking to a friend about the particulates in the air lingering for awhile ... based on having walked by a guy smoking outside and being able to smell the smoke 2 houses (200 ft ?) Away. I know it us different, but said then they will find the 6'guideline will be understated by quite a bit

They picked up Stephenson last year but he’s a RFA, maybe Tuch and the rights to Stephenson for Samuelsson, Rusto and a 2nd in 2021.

Thank you. He was a great man ... 88 years young, still had his wits about him, still drove, he even delivered meals for Meals on Wheels. We ate at Ted's Hotdogs a LOT together. He was a HUGE hockey fan still and when we talked on the phone, it's all we pretty much talked about (that and whatever Seinfeld episode he watched recently). He took me to the Aud all the time (Section 32, Row E, seats 1 & 2) - and as a 10 year old, I was there with him when we lost the Cup to the Flyers.

Come to think of it, I was there in '99 for No-Goal... which means I am the reason we can never win a Cup. As long as I'm there, we'll never win it ... so sad.

There is mounting evidence that the virus is airborne. Not conclusive yet, but getting there. Here's a good piece on it.

That said, regardless of what it's riding on, right now truisms in helping prevent the spread remain intact and it includes social distancing and wearing masks.

So let's move on, how about the St.Louis Blues. Is David Perron a player to be looked at for a RW solution. Little older at 32 but still produces and has a manageable cap hit for 2 yrs. Might hold a RW spot long enough for say Holtz to be ready.

He's had 3 really nice years in a row.

Depends on the cost.

I wouldn't want to move an asset for him and leave us short said asset that could've been used to acquire a 2C.

They should all go to jail
- gerbe75pts

then make it a criminal offense for men to leave women if they are expecting. Or if a man decides to leave a pregnant women and won't own up to his duties he should be chemically castrated.

Edit: to add My father is a complete douchebag and left my mother while she was pregnant with me, divorce was finalized on or around my DOB (funnily enough tomorrow is my birthday). I couldn't live with myself if my kids didn't know who I am, I could walk by my father on the street and never know it.

I've worked hard earned degrees and make over 100K so does my wife, but our situation is not the same as others women have the right to choose and no man should judge a woman and her situation because it doesn't fit his paradigm.

Masks are there to protect others from those who are infected, right? I mean that has been the message for 2 months now.
So, if the President is tested on a daily basis and through 5-1/2 months he hasn't been infected...the real danger to others is zero, right? Right.
So, now it is merely a symbolic jesture.

The proper measure is to protect those who are elderly and at higher risk due to underlying conditions. Isolate those who are sick. The rest should largely carrying as normal.

As for the .1% - check the CDC... 9% Positivity rate nationally, some areas much higher, some much lower. Then consider that 98% of those infected recover without serious issues. You are right...more like 0.18% (9% x 2%)
But, true to form, it is Trumps fault.

Saving lives is important. Is if just those from Covid-19, or other causes too?
We need to outlaw cars, trains, planes...wrap ourselves in a bubble stay inside and not see anyone.

I'm curious, are you working through this. Hopefully so.

- IonSabres

Yes I am working through this. I am essential and work for the federal government.

Your 9% times 2% might make sense if one person could only infect one other person, but that’s not how it works. One person could infect 100 people, how does that figure into your equation?

I don’t believe anything Trump says. So his claims of being tested daily mean nothing to me. I doubt he’s been tested once. Why? Because he says he has and everything he says turns out to be a lie.

And yes, we should try to save lives from every cause, I don’t understand why you’re using whataboutisms instead of dealing with the topic at hand. If 1% of people who rode in a car died every time, there wouldn’t be anyone left. You conflating things to defend your point of view is pointless.

Finally, symbolic gestures are important. Especially when your leadership and example could save thousands of lives.

You’re not nearly as smart as you think you are.

This is spot on.

If 10% of his cult, I mean followers, wear a mask because he did, that's 10% more than would have on their own.

being forced to wear a mask and not leave his house are the best possible things that could've happened for Biden's campaign.

Well let's keep this going. Nashville Predators have 17 contracts signed and a little over 9mill to fill spots. Would Viktor Ardvidson fill a need at RW, depending on who Nashville would bring back, they have Smith and Granlund as FA.

Way to stay focused.

Wonder if they'd be ready to move on from him. He's had some injuries the past 2 years.
