Carol Schram: Ferland, Virtanen, Sutter on the ice; NHL return-to-play plan is finalized They're not quite at the end of the runway yet. Details need to be finalized on the NHL's CBA extension and the necessary votes need to pass, but the league and the players' association did finalize the details on the return-to-play plan on Sunday and are still eyeing training camps officially opening next week. As for the Canucks, more players are back in town and participating in Phase 2, plus updates from Russia on Vasily Podkolzin and Nikita Tryamkin.

Marky 5
Toffoli 5
Gaudette 2
Zack .800K
Tryamkin 1.5 ( Benn on waivers -1.1)
Briesbois 600K
Stecher 1.5

There will be some kind of trade this year and that is where the other Dman will fall into place. One of Jake Brock or Pearson will not be coming back.

I don't care about the Mottes Leivos

Excellent update, thank you.

I am happy to hear that the players will be able to participate in the Olympics, I do enjoy international hockey on the larger ice surfaces.

I would like to see Joulevi over Tryamkin.

He had a clause where he didn't have to go to Utica, I don't think Green was a consideration in his decision making. Not sure Green will be of much help to his development, best to just trade him to Ottawa or NJ or somewhere else.

Motte & Leivo serviceable players but other vet contracts in the way. Not a fan of Stecher but the PO’s he can prove me wrong.

That clause probably set him back. He could of proved himself much better. As of now I’d package him in the off season unless he stands out.

It doesn't matter what name I put up there someone will will not be a fan.

It is the same nonsense year after year where fans and media complain against the cap. Last summer the whole offseason we had the daily crying about the cap and how screwed we were and 2 weeks before the season started the went out and signed Ferland.

needing to buyout players, send players to the minors and/or trade players to re-sign what the team already has without even thinking about signing free agents to help 'win now' is not what i hoped for when the team is ready to turn the corner.

i hate to see benning when he has cap issues.

Tryamkin is a left handed right side defenceman who can also play the left side. No need for him to switch to the right side.

I not worried about it until they start playing hockey again in 2-3 years.

Harvard closing the campus for this year

Should be interesting if they can get Rathbone signed.

I will be extremely, extremely, surprised if they actually get this thing up and running...as of right now I just don’t see it happening.
