I’m not really sure that giving players more power to veto trades will cause there to be more. The odds of a player nixing a deal to a team that they want to go to out of fear that that team would trade them seem slim. Maybe if a contenders window is closing and there on a deal with a lot of term left, but even then I’d be surprised.

Yup. The exact reason he gave for a player being more willing to accept a trade is going to make teams less willing to trade for him. Once they have him, they are stuck with him forever if he doesn't want to leave.

"No Movement Clauses and No Trade Clauses used to possibly die once a player once agreed to waive the clause and move on....unless the team getting the player agreed to keeping that aspect..."
