Jan --

Could not agree more with your last paragraph. When this is all said and done, I will be curious to find out who is driving the professionalism of the negotiations. I am sure there are disagreements, but they are really keeping a unified front to the public.
Bravo to the adults in the room!

Such a bizarre world where what could be the standard of sports peaceful labor negotiations could be Bettman and Fehr.

Apparently the testing of players/staff isn't going that well in MLB. A couple of teams have suspended workouts/practices today because they still don't have the test results from last Friday.

Gonna be real interesting to see how this all plays out. I'm kinda pessimistic about the whole thing honestly.

Just tell the players to say they are "protesters". I heard that makes you immune.

Hey TPC during the height of the lockdown here in Massachusetts one of the houses here had this huge sign draped on their front porch that said “TPC we see you” only thing I could think of was poop what did he do now?

Hey, there was a BLM rally here in Niagara Falls a few weeks ago of 3000-4000 people and not one case of Covid traced back to it.

NHL and NHLPA have agreed on return to play plan, four-year extension of CBA through 2025-26. The NHL Board of Governors need to approve the agreement.

Per Pierre LeBrun:
Players’ Executive Board (player reps) had a conference call begin around 515 pm ET. Up to them to decide if the proposed RTP-CBA agreement is good to go and proceed then to a league-wide player vote which could then take up to 72 hours.
Timing of events:
July 13 -- training camps open
July 26 -- travel to hub cities
Aug. 1 -- games begin

I bet Deangelo and Strome both go for two year bridge deals. A lot of people thinking most RFAs go for the bridge deals because of the pandemic taking money away from the pot, expecting it to take a couple years to even out.

10-11 mill combined for both imo
