What do u think about Quinn?
No one here is talking about him & he lit up the OHL for 52 goals in 62 games
That’s pretty great for your draft year

- jdfitz77

3ER and Pach have been giddy about Quinn for weeks. Acting like you don't know while sitting at home getting paid more than you would at your exclusive bartending job for doing nothing? You'll need to get into the top 5 to draft him is my prediction.

Mark it down and put it in a safe place.

He's a good player but he feels like a Samuelsson pick. Low ceiling, safe bet. It's a wussy pick that gets orgs nowhere.

I mean, he's definitely more talented, but the low ceiling safe pick is not how to make you a better org.

- TheSabresTaco

IMO, you are selling Lundell's overall potential short, and I think it's because he's already well known as an excellent all around player, especially defensively.

He is no Samuelsson. That comparison is BAD.

Wasn’t comparing his numbers to Holtz or Lundell
Just the age

Yes, i understand he didn’t have a great year1 in the OHL
But he grew enough in year2 that he’s rated just outside the top10 pretty much everywhere i look

Is it really a stretch to take him 8th?
I’m not even saying definitely do it
Just that he should be part of the discussion

- jdfitz77

I think it's a stretch because even if the first 7 picks are forwards, whichever forward is left from the upper echelon of talent in this draft likely has the higher ceiling or better indicator of future success, if its one of the players from europe for instance.

The prevailing theory is that Drysdale goes somewhere in the top 7 so that would add another forward available at 8 that might fit what I described above.

His possession numbers were very, very good this year.

Dude... i ignore 99% of your BS
It’s usually not even about hockey

And prior to this past week,
I hadn’t been on here a whole lot

And when i do backread, it’s more skimming
Again, your posts are ones i breeze right by

Also...
now that the great GMTM isn’t being paid to do nothing by the Sabres, what NHL club u think is gonna hire him?

Sure
But i wouldn’t rush any guy we picked this year either

- jdfitz77

Not many this draft should make the NHL. Give it 1-2yrs for most in the top 10-12.

I think you're full of poop. I think you've read every post ever posted since you signed up. Guaranteed. You just don't want to agree with me. Also guarantee that you already found the bet parameters and pretending you didn't. What else do you have to do?

So as far as forwards go...
you’re saying there’s a clear drop off after Lundell then, before Quinn

Gotcha
Like i said, i haven’t done much research on these guys
Just seemed really weird to me that Quinn isn’t being discussed at all for us

Dawson Mercer is another guy who intrigued me that hasn’t been mentioned as well

What is there like 3 locks? He'll go to either Detroit or Ottawa's 2nd pick.

There appears to be one, although players like Seth Jarvis, Jacob Perreault, Connor Zary and the aforementioned Dawson Mercer have put up very strong seasons. The 8 i mentioned may be more predictable in their trajectory, but wouldn't surprise me at all if one or two of these guys wound up having better careers

The only one im kinda sour on is raymond, you'd be betting solely on talent there, not production as it hasn't translated so far.

Every drafts has twists & surprises & expect this draft to be no different. Expecting a shuffle of where F’s get picked but usually D & C move up. Wingers tend to fall. If a winger you want then a trade down I suggest. If not stay put & let a good talent fall to you. In your range it always happens & comes down to picking right.
