IMO it has to be Reinhart not wanting to play center. They moved Johansson there but won’t try Reinhart again? Has anyone in the media asked Sam about playing center?

it was tried...it was tried at traverse city in 2014, it was tried before his nine-game nhl stint was over and he was sent back to junior...it was tried numerous times in numerous preseasons...it was tried by bylsma, it was tried by housley...
ralph had the choice between johansson and reinhart, two very similar players with similar negatives playing the position, as 2C and he chose the former...he likes sam as eichel's wing-man, as had skunk's previous two nhl coaches...i don't see what all the hullaballoo is about

What an absolute disaster of a trade by a moron of a putz GM. Set the organization back a decade. Completely FUBAR'd the ability to get any 2C worth a damn. Someone mentioned Calgary's lack of Center depth. Great point. I'll be shocked and amazed if Calgary moves Monahan without getting a good or upcoming Center back in return. Loser Botterill wasn't smart enough to do the same with ROR. Now it is going to take 3ER level thinking to be able to get one in here. 3 team trade or you'll be parting ways with someone you don't want to. They were starting to play decent hockey by the end there, got 3 very good prospects that will hit the NHL this year for them permanently with Brannstrom, Batherson and Brown. 2 to 3 yrs and they are gonna be a monster to play against.

Possibly. As we've all seen, having a great prospect pool w tons of draft picks doesn't mean anything unless they're utilized or flipped correctly.
As Boomer likes to say, that's why they play the games.
