Given how deep this draft is considered, that #5 pick could end up being just as good as Eichel, or very close to. I think a major piece would need to be added to your offer, at the very least.

mmm I dunno bout that.

and all Jack (and his peers) will be asked about for 3 months straight is how pumped they are about those picks ...

I do think you (probably) have the right people in place to make those type of decisions now.

We're gonna wait out the filling of the front office before we the fans even consider they're on the right track.

Trust the Pegula's to royally (frank) it up until proven otherwise.

Guess you wait until the draft and see how it's falling and who is still available when 5 comes up. That will give you a see at who might still be there at 8.

Like the Lindholm trade that you posted 39, wonder if Risto has that much value to pull it off.
- Buff36

Love the Lindholm idea, but this Kerfoot as the 2C love affair needs to stop.

Read something the other day that said, of the 40 people listed under Kim in the media guide from 18-19 (I believe), 30 of them are gonzo.

Its hit close to 20,000 like I predicted, then the fed bailed the market out. Extenuating circumstances.

Why hide behind a different name when posting?

You said it would go down to 15,000. Proof is in the comments

31st (1st team ever)
26th
25th

Fan revolt

Seems perfectly fair. Someone needs to take the blame for all terrible "everything" Sabres the past few seasons

I worked a deal in teh leafs thread that was

Johansson
Bracco
Kerfoot

for Risto

That would allow the Sabres to let go of

girgensons
Simmonds
Frolik

Possibly even Larsson

yes not high first line level guys, but guys that can produce.

Those picks should get a similar player. Why give up additional assets.

Now Montour and Thompson for #5 to draft a good winger. I’m in

I don't understand why everyone has to play gotcha all the (frank)ing time around here. We come here to discuss the present hopefully hockey things and project the future. Not one person in the history of ever is always right. Again, why does it matter.

The way she (Kim) answered the pointed questions gave me a lot of hope for your direction, tbh

Ralph and Kevin (i think he spells if differently) seem like great people (from a distance) and that means something to me.

If they actually traded Jack that would probably say a lot about him to me too (unless next season also goes sideways ..)

I'm obviously doing a lot of speculating .. guessing and trying to read between the lines

people tend to follow examples ... sadly

simple example ... ever sit in rush hour traffic and watch how one rude driver suddenly makes 10 random people act the exact same way? (rinse and repeat)

As an outsider, I really appreciate your perspective. I don't mean to assume, but you may be a bit.. I don't know.. nieve..misinformed? Ignorant? Not sure what word I'm looking for. I definitely am not intending to be insulting here.

The approach on the surface is good: This isn't working, burn it down. But then you realize, their constant failures have (frank)ed this organization for almost a decade. Constant missteps, constant bad PR, constant bad hirings, constant firings. They're not hiring the right people the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th time over. The fact that they HAD to burn down the front office AND their private company, PSE, says a lot about how lacking they are in knowing what they don't know.

Or flip side, getting a pay-it-forward moment in your day. Most people are instinctively combative, even if they can manage to hide it. I'm no innocent. I think I'm just bothered because this is how the country is right now. Just divisive. How the (frank) do we move forward when all anyone wants to do is point a (frank)ing finger.

Moving up to 5 would require an overpayment. Unless Dorion is feeling charitable. In this draft picking at 8 will add a very good prospect. Sometimes boring is prudent

Not sure where this comes from. Because Gerbe suggested that I’m beady? I have been a poster on here for 4 years.

I agree. Last blog we were talking about guys 3-9/10 are probably the same caliber player. I don't think you're moving up unless you are certain one guy is going to project so much farther than the current field. Listening to our new head of scouting the other day, he reiterated how each of these guys may have a different skill or intangible that rank them higher than others, and they need to draft the guy that fits the future of the NHL, not the present, not the past.

I think while it's nice that you get your field of guys in that talent range goes from 2 to 5, the asset(s) you need to move up are probably not worth it. Sammy Watkins, when.. lol.. the rest of that receiver class was available.

Rantanen available at 10. McAvoy at 14. Ehlers at 9. Larkin at 15. Horvat at 9. Domi at 12. Just gotta be careful and smart.

I cant wait for the draft.. I like mine from my kegerator at about 34 degree F.

As far as picking 8th, who the frank cares that player wont help for 2-3 years. If it were me I would package the 8th along with Risto, Mitts and any other prospects (not Dylan) for a scoring winger and a proven 2nd line center. Or hell take a stab at signing Hall in whenever the frank the off season is.
