Alright Eklund. Let’s see if you read your comments. I’ve got a good topic for your “poll the audience” headlines. Alex Lafreniere, or more specifically the #1 overall pick and the very real possibility that this season does not fire up again to finish.
I believe the placeholder “team E” was originally supposed to hold the #12 overall pick. If this season doesn’t finish, how does that get settled? Would it go to the team in that slot when the season was shut down (Vancouver)? Would it go to the team placed there based on points percentage (I hope so, that’d be the Jets!)? Will it be another lottery to award the mystery picks? How about a bracket style single-elimination Rock Paper Scissors tourney featuring team captains?

Serious question that isn’t really being talked about because nobody wants to admit that south of the border things just got much worse, and put us back a month or so in the progress we were making. The border isn’t going to re-open anytime soon, and it’s going to get worse before it gets better with July 4 right around the corner.

I think many would agree that the NHL should just give the pick to the Coyotes at 7pm on a set date so we can all open the door and listen carefully to hear James Tanner’s head explode while he’s scrambling to find some advanced stats to conveniently misinterpret regarding drafting procedures and pick history.

"In 5 years he'll be a Norris winner..He's a Nicklas Lidstrom -- So smart, great hands, skating. He'll be the next MODO player you'll write and talk about."

"He's MODO's best hope since Hedman. Norlinder is part of their new wave."

- Per Hagglund

Who has covered MODO for 30 years

Expectations are tempered but hard not to be excited with hearing that. Don't shoot the messenger!

Just like your posts. A huge pile of dog $hit. When was the last time your team won a Stanley Cup? 45 years ago? I'm sure you remember 1997

Patriots just signed Cam Newton to a 1 year deal. That's interesting. Undisputed should be entertaining tomorrow. 😂

The point of trading Gaudreau would be to sign Hall. So depending what DeAngelo & Georgiev want as they both have to be resigned would be a huge consideration on this deal & I also would want that 1st thrown in as well, forget the conditional crap. Rangers would have 2 years to work on his extension, this isnt a rental scenario.

which makes no sense. losing JG and bringing in Hall makes Monahan almost useless. He's a shooter who has now lost his setup man

Might as well trade both JG/Monahan. Monahan won't be able to keep up with Hall breaking down the ice

Nope. Not yet. But if they could swing JG, somehow land Lafreniere, and Kakko continues to improve, that’s a good core, and I really don’t want it in my division

Panarin, Kakko, JG, Fox, Lafreniere, Zibby, and Shesty. Nice team to work with for a few years.

Hopefully we don’t see it, but I guess there’s an outside shot.

Even better than a 34 year old louis eriksson that’s making 6 mill for 2 MORE seasons after this???

Not according to canuck fans/numbskulls.

Yes, we love Loui. Can you even name our #1 LW?:

I'll keep our current #1 LW thanks you very much. I'll give you a few hints. Same age, better contract, better numbers last year, even wins faceoffs when called on. Oh and he's not a whiny little female dog either.

So you want 4 top six LW on your team??? IF they land Lafreniere then forget about JG.
They already don’t need him.
