So the Habs are only interested in Mike Hoffman?

Seriously, still no decision on Gaudreau? Did you spend all weekend working on the Buzztron again?

Also, Hoffman is 6'0, 182 pounds. That isn't big. It's well below average size. He's a very consistent goal scorer but calling him big and comparing him to Leclair.

Nope, obviously he was too busy chasing this HOT N JUICY Hoffman to the Habs rumour via his reliable sources.

Is there anyway we can report this to the Panthers? Get Ek in trouble somehow for tampering? I know he works (allegedly) for the Flyers but if we can prove he’s tied to the Habs too.......Tampering !!!

This would be an interesting interview during the playoffs if the Habs and Panthers played each other...

Habs reporter: So I hear the Habs are going all in on signing you in free agency?

Hoffman: Yeah that's what my crazy wife tells me. Apparently the Panthers have no intention of going all in to sign me.

Habs reporter: So are you motivated to beat the team who will be going all in to sign you?

Hoffman: Well Ek just told me to keep things quiet for now but it'll be tough for sure. I'll just make sure I'll be going all in to eliminate the Habs. Then I'll be going all in to sign with the Habs. But rest assured, there will be a heck of alot of going all in. I certainly hope my shots go all in.

As someone who occasionally has to hire people, the consistent movement and not staying in any one place for a while is a big red flag to me.

...but sure Montreal, go ahead

The Habs may be interested but I doubt that Mike Hoffman will interested in your pipe dream. I do see Hoffman moving on from Florida and speaking to Eric Karlsson the other day he thinks San Jose would be a good landing spot so the wives can catch up.

Ek must have his player names mixed up. Hoffman is a fast, skinny guy, with a great shot. John Leclair was a large man, a prototypical 'powerforward' if there ever was one. I'm a life-long Sens fan and have watched pretty much every game #68 ever played here in the nation's capital, and I can promise you that Mike Hoffman is not big. Nor is he strong or great down low or in tight. His bread and butter is sniping from the top of the face-off circles. Like I said, I've watched about 350+ of his games. So I definitely have an idea about the type of player he is.

Yeah, his breakdown of Mike Hoffmans game is pretty far off. Can't see him having trouble keeping up with anyone...

Exactly. See my comment above. How do you call a guy who is 6'0, 182 pounds a big man who reminds you of John Leclair? Because he pounces on loose pucks around the net and buries them?

Would also like to know the "MANY great insights" that this source has provided over the years. Did they break the Domi trade? Pacioretty trade? Tatar trade? Weber? Drouin? There is zero history on this site of breaking any news related to the Habs. Yet Ek is very excited to hear from this source...yawn.

Submit your resume to EK. Be sure to include all traits and inside knowledge you have involving the Sens. Maybe you can become Eks new Sens insider guy. Then we will finally have a real insider that works for Ek. I know Id embrace it if you were to become one.

Yes. Or was it Kerry Huffman? He used to score like David Hasselhoff.

I get that this is FlyersBuzz, but I still can't get over comparing Hoffman to John Leclair. Its absolutely ridiculous. Maybe if you had said Simon Gagne I'd say, sure, there are some similarities. But John Leclair is maybe one of the worst takes I've seen here. What's next - Gaudreau and Lindros share 99% of the same DNA so that's a story.

Lindros will be traded again before Ek posts his winner of the Johnny Hockey sweepstakes. He's beating that horse longer than his Galchenyuk trade rumours. Beat the Gally horse, Ek! Woah Nelly! Those were the Hockey Buzz days!
Oh look! This horse runs just like Secretariat did!

Let’s not forget the Kane n Keith package deal or the Doughty trade that is still waiting league approval.

You think that's bad? Malkin STILL wants to be THE MAN for the Blackhawks! Ek saved the Preds but couldn't make the Caps trade them Ovechkin! Young David Poile is still running around the Spectrum in 1966 for crying out loud!
