Exactly! Troy looked like he was trying to be another Getzlaf earlier in the season but Eakins and Co. must have gotten to him because he was shooting the puck all of the time. It was a little frustrating as a fan when Murray sent him down to San Diego for the Gulls playoff push because Troy seemed to start to get it and was shooting from everywhere.

Terry is an amazing passer. And his coaches were publicly telling him to shoot everything (slight exaggeration). And we wonder why his shooting percentage was amazingly low.

Keep trying to change him into something he's not, and you'll get a repeat season. He'll figure out how to shoot the high percentage shots if they just focus on teaching him that.

If they wanted to change his game, they should have started in San Diego. But there was none of that talk when he was originally down here.

I’ll concede some of your take... i’m not talking about him being turned into something he’s not.
I am talking about him over passing which was very evident throughout the year and last year, trying to make that extra pass and bypassing good good shot opportunities.

Yep, Terry's a good passer but he's not Zegras good. Terry was drafted to shoot, besides, the Ducks need goal scoring.

I fall into the "I'll believe it when I see it" camp. Same with Steel, Comtois, and to a lesser extent, Jones.

I think Jones, who I love... Has got farther to go than any of those others.

I can't wait for the draft! Ducks will be getting some good young talent!

Trade off anyone older than 25...get tons of draft picks. It’s going to be a painful next 5 years.

Essentially, Terry has been able to create offense but hasn’t been able to convert on chances and neither were his teammates while he was on the ice.

What good are chances if they don't result in goals?

I agree. My comment may be confusing. When I said, "to a lesser extent" regarding Jones, I meant I probably WON'T see it with him. So I've lowered my expectations. I still have hope with the others.

No way. With JG in net we always have a chance. 2 more 1st rounders this yr./ 3 in the top 36 .. with a chance @ AL... Zegras coming next yr..

We just need to find a way to stay healthy. Milano / Danton and Djoos are really solid pros.. this team is gonna look way different when next season starts..
