Spot on again Sean. 👍

I REALLY hope Yamamoto continues this level of play. The effort was certainly noticeable, even if the results were somewhat inflated.

Yamamoto (山元) translates to "the base of the mountain" and that strikes me as mighty applicable to his arrival signalling the ascent of the season. Praise Big Yam; the Moto that never stops!

I too hope they sign Ennis.

What would you be comfortable paying him?

He was by far the biggest addition to the team. Singlehandedly changed this team from a bubble (trending that way and If not for the crazy start, probably where we belonged) to a legit playoff team that could make a little noise Come dance season

Love that little fuker

Sup HB! It has been a while!

And I agree. That RNH-LD-Yamo line did wonders for us.

What about Klefbom-Bear and Nurse-Larsson as the top 4 pairings?

Nah, the sample size of Bear and Klefbom together isn't large enough to derive any strong expectations from and the Adambom pairing markedly improved in the latter half of the season.

Klefbom- Larsson

Pulled ahead post-Yamo (15-12) and were only beaten in shot and chance metrics (~48%). They've done quite well in the playoffs together so I'd rather give em the chance to step up.

Nurse- Bear

Pulled even together post-Yamo (21-21) and were only beaten in shot and chance metrics (~48%). It's important we maintain familiarity going into a best of 5.

These are by no means set in stone and, if they're unstable early, I don't hesitate to break up Klefbom and Larsson given their up-and-down recent track record. However, that likely would involve subbing Green in for Benning, Jones in for Russel and then running:

Nurse- Bear
Klefbom- Green
Jones- Larsson

I like how that deployment balances out.
