Carol Schram: NHL Training Camp timing could work out for Canucks' baby brigade If NHL training camps start in mid-to-late July, that could be good news for the Vancouver Canucks. Three players, including captain Bo Horvat, have babies on the way between now and then.

Sounds like some of the gangs here, think it is a good idea to trade B, Boeser and Jake for Jack Eichel.
What are your thoughts.

I feel like Eichel's comments were kind of taken out of context yesterday. In addition to saying he's sick of losing, he also said he loves Ralph Krueger, and I think the Sabres are committed to Krueger long term.

After what happened with Ryan O'Reilly, where they didn't really get fair value and he went on to win a Cup and a Conn Smythe in one season, I don't think the Sabres will be looking for a repeat of that story. I think they'll still try to find a way to build around Eichel - who had a really good season on the ice. Career high in goals & points per game, and a plus player for the first time in his career.

Back when he was with Colorado, ROR had a reputation for being difficult, too. Now he's a great leader. Lots of parallels. I think Eichel's also still finding his way.

Thanks Carol.

Jake got a bit of a hand slap for posting selfies while driving. Distracted driving rule clearly broken

I think players with family matters should attend to them. Family before hockey. I also don't think Benning wouldn't mind keeping this years first round pick.

Thanks for your thoughts on that.
I deleted part of my comment, so I didn't create a bit of a poops how in here.😁

Not at all. Unusual circumstances may change scouting next year so take the bird in hand. It is win win. Either play on of get a first round pick.

Wow - big news.

I'm just on my way out the door, so I won't be able to hop on this call, but it's official now - Judd Brackett is gone.

Why? Because of government lock down due to the pandemic.

It looks ugly down there. I have bi-racial family in Seattle and their stories off blatant, open racism are horrible. There are so many reasons why Lefty's favourite country is self imploding. I just emailed a good friend who is a Prof. in Boston, asking "Why do you live in that country?"

No this is about Racism. I not sure on all details but a white cop killed a black man with extreme measures .

Minny has had all kinds of huge fires and looting. Columbus Atlanta Louisville and a few others followed suit. Like the Rodney King situation.

Literally seconds ago they announced that they have arrested the cop.

Nope. Another African-American who was killed by a white cop who kneeled on his neck for 8-9 minutes until the fellow was no longer able to breathe. All caught on video (of course). Rioting in about 10 cities acfoss the country with no signs of abating. Hence, some extra sensitivity to the racism that has been shared in here the past week.

His "I can't breath" is the exact quote of Eric Garner who was killed in a choke hold by police. Add to that in the last few weeks that Breonna Taylor was shot/killed in her own home in a police raid trying targeting someone else, and Ahmaud Arbery who was chased down and killed while out jogging... can understand the emotional state of black people in America right now.

I remember the Rodney King riots quite vividly.
Don't forget Kaepernick not working for 2 or 3 years now and still vilified for speaking out against police racism.
