One of the most important things for me to accomplish before it’s too late is seeing Paul perform live. I’m ashamed for never having experienced it up to this point. Really hoping he does another tour here in the states sometime in the next few years...

I just saw him last summer at Tweeter Center in Tinley Park. Amazing show, but an even better person.

If Rossi is there at 9, you shove everyone out of the way to make that pick. Quinn or Holloway are my preferences if the picks fall the way many have projected.
Others I would be okay with, too. I am just not a fan of drafting goalies that high. Their value is far below the value of a top 10 pick, IMO.

Mid 1st round? Maybe, if your scouts have one rated much higher than any other player available.

I agree with your reasoning. BTW Does Sanderson intrigue?

Although I too do not prefer taking a goaltender so early, I am going to paint a picture wherein it could happen.

I can understand how a team feels like it needs a goaltender and will wait for (they hope) as short a period - of-time as only 1-2 years for the goaltender to be ready. That said, I look more for the Russian netminder kid the Islanders signed to perform capably after a couple KHL seasons than Knight would if he was pressed into duty for Florida only one year since his #1 round selection.

So yes if a team really wants a goaltender for the future then maybe an L A Kings want to try to gain a second # 1. I don’t know how they could pull that off; there may be other teams, however, whom go after a goaltender around that #10 overall slot.

Conversely, your scouts might recommend one of the Penguins goaltenders instead without drafting Askarov or trading the #1. A lot depends upon how good someone believes any of the goaltenders can become.

I don't know. The last couple of time I have seen him perform, his voice is shot. I am not sure I would cough up the money to see that.
- Elbows15

Oh I’m completely expecting it to sound that way. It’s more of a just so I can say I did it type of thing than it is wanting to hear a perfect performance. I’m well aware that at his age he isn’t quite what he used to be.

Fair enough . That list I was looking had to night had Holloway dropping to late teens or early twenty and Sanderson jumping to 5th . Yes Rossi may be a gift at 9th .It a draft who knows what will happen or when .

27 points in 26 games as a Hawk ,that's not bad on 1 leg . What a talent

No I was being funny but I think many would argue Chelios' overall career as well.

To cover yours and jhawks points. Sanderson would be a big mistake at 5. To me, he is late teens or so.

I really like Holloway and he may not be top 10 but he checks so many boxes for the Hawks. He has size. Moves well. Good defensively with a lot of upside. Hawks really have no one in their prospect pool like him.

His Blackhawk career was short
He was not the same player he once was. Amazing to have 27 in 26 over two seasons. His first season in Chicago was 1976 -‘77 20 go after only 10 go the previous year for Boston. Then he sat out his second campaign as a Blackhawk. He could only muster up two + 2 assists in a few games his final season as he lost the battle of wounded knee. So because his time in Chicago was brief, his accolade as one of the best men to adorn a Blackhawk sweater includes games played for Chicago but extraordinaries was with Boston.

Yeah Holloway is a fit in that way. I don’t know if Sanderson moves up but wiz has said there is often someone whom drops and someone taken much earlier than expected. Sanderson is a name bandied about possibly moving on up

Saw him at Sox Park in ‘65 with his first band.

Haven't seen him and wish I had a while back. Thought about going the last time he rolled through and opted not for that reason (voice is shot).

Was glad I went to see the Stones about a dozen or so years ago. They were at Soldier Field and it was about 30 degrees out in October.

While I wish I'd seen them 10 years or so earlier they still sounded good and were a decent show.

Were you in Chicago back then or did you see them out west? Their sound was ok at SF...better than I thought it would be actually. I know they play a lot of big arenas but reproducing their sound in them, I'm not sure is their forte.

Seem to remember most of their live albums sounding so so.

One of the best concerts from an older band I've seen in the last 10 years is Roger Waters performing the Wall at the Palace up here.

He was great doing Dark Side when I saw him a few years before that in Chicago too.

Saw the Stones at the Amphitheater in the mid-60s, before their (and every bands’) over-produced outdoor-stadium shows - just a great rock-n-roll band doing their blues-based best.

I didn’t go to many live shows back then, but did manage to see the important ones. Wish I could have seen Elvis, when he was still a rocker, before the movies and Vegas - but he never played Chicago. I’m not sure if any of the other Sun Records greats played in the North - they were mostly Southern performers back then.

It would have been fun to see the Winter Dance Party tour back in 1959, before “The Day the Music Died” - Buddy Holly, Dion, Big Bopper, Richie Valens, Waylon Jennings in Holly’s band - but they didn’t get to Chicago, either. At just 14, I’m not sure my parents would have let me go, anyways.

Memories - light the corners of my mind - misty water colored memories - of the way we were....

Was Brian Jones still with the Stones when you saw them? From the live recording I've heard, the Stones were at their best with him in the mix.
