For all the complaints about Zacha, the McLeod story is 10 times worse if only because he may never pan out as a NHLer. You cannot misfire so poorly in the first round. McAvoy was two picks later and Chychrun was four picks later. I know hindsight is 20/20 but this hurts....

His ceiling has certainly dropped. Hopefully he can be a serviceable 4C with some pk responsibilities, but I am not hoping for much more beyond that.

Todd, curious if you have heard any rumors about the Cap remaining at 81.5M next season, due to the recent economic struggles. So......I can't help at being excited about all the opportunities this would create for the Devs. Hall suitors will be extremely limited, cap dump trade values will be costlier than ever, we can target so many more UFA's then anybody.

If it's true, Fitz will be in an excellent position.

I liked Ray Ray a lot but I was pissed when we didn't draft Logan Brown and gave him to the Ottawa Senators. So today we have McLeod and Gignac from that trade, which is frankly completely useless.

Logan put up 1 goal and 7 assists this year in 23 games for the Senators. Not huge numbers but better then McLeod's and on a Sens team that's worse then the Devs.

How you pass up on a higher rated guy who's 6'6 and 220lbs is a mystery.
