Did you know that parise is 35 and has 5 MORE YEARS after this season at a 7.54m cap hit?

The question wouldn’t be what would columbus have to give up...it would be what would minnesota have to throw in to unload his contract?

Hell...minny might even throw in ryan suter if you are willing to part with your next 2 first rounders!!!

Knowing Jarmo , Nylander is probably his target, but does that mean giving up a guy like Werensky ....errr

No . . . no . . . Kane/Seabrook. The $$ can be better spent on younger(mid-20's) top-6 players.

No . . . no . . . HELL NO on Parise.

I would prefer to keep Elvis and trade Korpi. My thinking is Elvis has a higher ceiling, Korpi is about at it. This is providing Elvis signs a friendly contract for the next 4-5 years.

Of the D-men I would also want to keep Seth & Z (obvious), either , preferably Savard or Murray, as well as Gavrikov & Peeke. Leaving Nuti, Kukan, Harrington, Carlsson. However, I know you have to give-to-get, so losing Gavi or Peeke may be possible.

Of the forwards, I'd put Wennberg out there, as well as a couple of prospects in Cleveland.

Forgot to mention - I would love to get Huberdeau !! Offer Murray, Kukan, Wennberg or high-ish prospect, and high-ish pic.
Huberdeau could drive the play pretty close to how Panarin did. However, I feel that he is considered a core player that Q wants to keep.

Gaudreau - would be a good addition to the top-6, and his speed might fit well with Tex and/or Foudy. Not consistent.

Stamkos - pipedream. Would be better to shoot for one of their younger players. You'd have better chance of getting Point than Stamkos.

Laine - love to have him, but he's a wild card, not sure which Laine we'd get from game to game. Can become invisible on the ice.

Nylander - can he carry the play? or is he just a high-level supporting player ??

I doubt Laine is a Torts type player, he'd probably implore Jarmo to trade him like Johanson, and Calgary won't give up that easily on Gaudreau it's one season. Nylander is decent, he has alot of characteristics that Panarin has and he's on pace for a 40 goal season.
