Carol Schram: No draft lottery, but NHL Central Scouting releases final rankings for 2020 With no playoffs to entertain us and still no sense of when the NHL might be able to resume play, Central Scouting released its final ranking of the 2020 draft class on Wednesday, one day ahead of when the draft lottery would have originally been scheduled.

By the way, how did the ribs turn out? My wife and I are having a ham dinner for Easter but I’ve got my new (late last year) Pit Barrel cooker ready to go for my first crack at ribs.

Canucks should extend a tryout to this kid, small but talented. Hobey Baker finalist.

I'm doing a leg of lamb on the BBQ, I don't know if anyone will be coming out but I'm doing it anyways.

Nice....should be awesome!! We were going to go over to some close friends but I told my wife I’m not comfortable with that given what’s going on so it’ll just be the two of us but we’re cool with that.

Oh yeah, I am definitely not eating any gefilte fish! My cousin dropped off a box of matzoh, I love me some fried matzoh

Thanks, yeah. The ribs were good for what I was after - nothing overly saucy or salty.

I did the brine, and then the Instant Pot. Had been planning to throw 'em under the broiler but I didn't seal the pot lid properly at first, so it took longer than I'd planned. I was hungry by the time they got out of the pot!

They did, indeed, fall right off the bone. So, I'd say the endeavour was a success.

Really appreciated everyone chipping in with their tips and advice. Nothing too exotic on tap for me this weekend - I know how to grill steak and asparagus - but I will definitely tap everyone's expertise again, next time I want to try something new.

Also, if you remember the cleaning challenge that I was recommending a couple of weeks ago? That turned out to be a non-starter after about Day 2.

My excuse is that I didn't want to allocate my valuable cleansers and disinfectants to non-urgent cleaning at this time...

I'm gonna YOLO tonight, sit out on my front-facing deck and BBQ hot-dogs and hamburgers for sh*ts and giggles, drink a 6 pack of Kokanee and wear my Canucks colors as they might've been playing either the Oilers or the Avalanche (according to whichever formula you use) tonight.

You're always doing potatoes in duck fat, I need a source of duck fat.

Good call with the brine! Just did one with a full chicken and it was super good.
