Jury still out on 6th rounder this year. I’m guessing whoever it is will get more than 14 points in a Sens jersey... and I’m bored

Brett Hull was a 6th round pick, so that's what I'm expecting.

I'm not even voting because those 2 trades were/are meaningless as of today.

I'm guessing he won't even play one game in the NHL.

Both deals were good but Gibbons at least did something so far. So I'll go for that one

Wow, no compromise here, huh- reach for the top!

I wish we had received more for Wideman but the second half of your sentence was also my thought process, so I voted for Gibbons too.

Sam Cosentino is very good and really wired into the amateur scouting community, more confidence in him than in the TSN listing.

So, the Sens will get two of:

Lafreniere
Byfield
Stutzle
Holtz
Rossi
Drysdale

Not bad!

Keep in mind that the NHL is just as likely to look at every team's record after 68 games as it is to go by points percentage. That would slide the San Jose pick from 3rd to 4th. Ottawa would then have #2 and #4 picks going into the lottery.

Beat me to it.

Not sure Drysdale would go 3rd, but hes been all over the place.

Getting Stutlze at any spot should be seen as a win if it occurs.

I fear Dorion is in love with defensemen... Drysdale could be too high on his list. I think taking Drysdale anywhere in the top 6 or so is a mistake. There's just too many good forwards in this draft. Maybe if you're a team desperate for D you take him 5th.

Assuming we DON'T win the 1st overall, let's say we go 2 and 3, or 2 and 4, I think we need to select two of the following players: Byfield, Stützle, Raymond, Holtz, Rossi. There doesn't seem to be much debate that those are the top 5 after Laffy Taffy. Some prefer Perfetti over Rossi.

If Dorion takes Drysdal at 3rd or 4th (because he already got a good forward at #2), I will be calling for his head.
