2020-21 outlook: I wouldn’t be surprised if Bennett – like another former high pick in Sean Monahan – is one of the notable names moved by the Flames this off-season, whenever that may be.

He wasn't having a great year last year, and the year prior may have been the anomaly compared to the rest of his career so far.

More for you Broads...

2019-20 review: There are a couple different ways to look at Gaudreau’s season. We’ll start with the glass half empty approach because, relative to usual standards, Gaudreau was definitely a disappointment.

He recorded 41 fewer points than a season ago and his goal output was sliced in half. He produced just 30 points at 5v5, which was a career low. Gaudreau wasn’t an all-star either. There were lots of boxes elite players routinely check off that Gaudreau didn’t manage to do this year.

All that said, his season was far from a disaster. The Flames controlled a larger share of the shots and goals with Gaudreau on the ice than without. He was on pace for 68 points in what was a ‘bad season’, and he did that without a lot of help.

Anybody who routinely tuned into Flames games knows Sean Monahan – Gaudreau’s primary center and running mate – was a ghost on many nights, particularly at 5v5. He didn’t produce much, nor threaten much, and Gaudreau had to do all of the heavy lifting; a lot of which went to waste.

Fwiw before I fake traded for Strome I talked to Todd about Monahan and his price for him was significantly lower than anything I've seen in the comments so far.

On the other hand, Kent Wilson did a mock lineup where he moved Monahan and Jankowksi for Miller, Cozens and a 1st round pick

Surprised, given his struggles, that he would get a return of Cozens and the first.

Think I'd be let down by that return and we'd regret it for a long time. No?

Is this article for the Buffalo Sabres NHL team, or the one in the Midgets league?

Nattinen will definitely get some interest from NHL teams. Word on Turunen is quiet but the numbers are very good. Im surprised his name hasn't popped up in the rumour mill more often.

Agree Crump

Mitts I'm ready to sell before he loses any more value. Cozens, I think could very well be a keeper. He's the only thing left in the pipeline I'm excited about at this point.

Yeah Todd's ask was much lower, I just assume in reality it would be closer to the middle?

You'd have to give up multiple pieces but I dont think you'd need to move Cozens.

The only legit rumour I've heard is that they've shown interest in Suomi, haven't heard anything about the other two.

I understand. I always shoot a bit high on returns for us, so it makes sense.

I wouldn’t do Cozens for Monahan straight up.

Unless they are taking Okposo

Edit- and even then, no

I'd trade anyone the Flames want for Monahan. He's way better goal scorer than Eichel. Unless they make Dahlin Foppa 2.0 like the laser precise 3ER said, he doesn't move the needle at all. Typical total overvalue Buffalo hype. Crooked Broadary will point out some outlet pass that every NHL Defensemen should be able to make and then goes on to slob his knob about how generational he is along with the putz of a GM that drafted him. Get a grip. My god.

Bring in a GM that has cashews and will trade for Monahan or make Dahlin Foppa 2.0. This effin moron fraidy cat loser of a GM is totally incompetent of doing it. Totes magotes man.
