We'll be lucky if next season gets underway by Jan 2021. The current season is history.

"you may state your opinions but please don't make this into a political slugfest about who dropped the ball in the past, and who is doing what now."

Does this also apply to James Troller?

The border isn't closed closed right now. Of course they'd let pro sports teams cross the border whenever they start sports again, and I don't see why anyone would have an issue with it.

I think you mean "Will Canadian/US Border NOT Opening Kill Summer Hockey?"

And I disagree with your take that people shouldn't criticize governments during crisis.

Democracy dies in darkness.

People need to be respectful, but they also need to hold governments accountable.

Every franking day.

Trump wants to keep his masks...we will keep our hockey players! Enjoy the NHL without Canadian Players! Sure, US has a lot of talented hockey players...but enough to field 24 teams with quality? Id rather watch the Canadian teams that would be flooding with talent in their 7 team league.

Pro sports should be an essential service, without crowds, just watching on tv would be awesome.

It’s closed to all non essential travel. You can’t go shopping in Seattle for the day from Vancouver, you’ll be turned back, however, all essential goods are still flowing across the border.

Nhl hockey isn’t coming back to finish the season.
We can continue speculating but it’s just not going to happen.
Keep hockey relevant for sure but let’s start to accept the facts.

Certainly hoping that sports come back - whether or not the NHL does is secondary to having some sports back. I'd like to see some baseball with summer coming up.

There is utility in it as well. People are stuck at home, or close to home anyway, not working and generally idle. People need to have some entertainment or else unrest begins to rise. If you give people a game to stay home and watch, they're more likely to stay in.

I'm running out of things to do at home. If I had baseball I'd have a game to watch everyday at least. Supposing they do it in FL and AZ and just use spring training stadiums and broadcast games with empty seats. Give the people entertainment, keep them happy and give them a better reason to stay in.

"you may state your opinions but please don't make this into a political slugfest about who dropped the ball in the past, and who is doing what now....We should all agree that MANY more than one person dropped the ball and that goes back years.."

Try following your own rules.. the fact that you're saying "that goes back years..." pretty much does exactly what you said not to do.. because that's your opinion, and its definitely points a political finger...
