Both are great players but I'd take Nathan Mackinnon every single time.
No ego, point producer and a real leader. |

I will go with Auston Matthews. I admit a local bias. |

Matthews clearly has been the better player at the same ages. |

Thanks for your unbiased opinion. |

Matthews has a better shot (leading to a few more goals) mackinnon is better in pretty much every other area.
I’d take MacKinnon, as would almost all GMs in the league. |

Mathews needs a Marner.
McKinnon needs nobody.

Tough call, for now I’ll take McKinnon. Great leader, has carried the team on his back in the past. |

MacKinnon would’ve already been deified had he entered the league with the Leafs. |

If I am building a team and had to choose between the two its MacKinnon every time and that's not a knock on Matthews. Mackinnon is simply a better all around player which I personally prefer in a center. |

They’re both great players, as for a center, MacKinnon is a better center, his overall game. Matthews is a better goal scorer. |

McKinnon makes others around him better. Much better all-around player.
And he doesn’t have a caterpillar growing under his nose... |

MacKinnon is a 96/97.
Matthews is a 94/95. |

I think Matthews had the better first couple years. Took Mackinnon a little longer to become one of the best, but is he ever dominant. Hard to pick one over the other. Mackinnon is explosive but Mathews has that shot. Both incredible players, I’d take Matthews just because he’s younger, but tempted by Mackinnon because I feel like he has the better injury history... |

only uninformed pole lickers think AM needs Marner.
Id probably lean towards AM, he has a greasy moustache and that makes me go to bed at night alot easier
