I don't feel like we'll get through the whole season with both those goalies, unless VV totally craters in Cleveland. One could be trade bait at the deadline . . . or expansion draft.
Not sure if Lilja will be signed. Also feel like some may be pieces of packages.

I had a long post on this that got dumped by the system when I posted it, so here's the short response.

We need offense, serious top ten in the NHL offense.
We need at least one or two superstar offensive players that can shoulder the load for 100 games or however many it takes to win the Cup.
Even if we trade good young players or good veteran players that can't score consistently to get top flight offensive players we need to do it.

We have a good farm system it seems. But whether its by signing UFA's, offer sheeting RFA's or trades we need offense.

I really like what Torts was able to accomplish with this team this past year! Kudos to him and to Korpie and Elvis for their performances! You certainly do not miss Bob! (Who cratered in Fla, IMHO)
I though AA was gonna go to you at the deadline from Detroit, bit he ended up in Edmonton. IDK if he would have helped you, a very streaky player w/ much potential, but at the moment I am glad the Wings traded him.
Hoping The play off format puts you in them. I think they ought to play Reg season games til they are all at 76 games and go with that. Putting 24 or more teams in it just mucks up the draft and lottery system. And putting all 31 teams in it, well frankly my Red Wings should not be elevated to that position, as well as some others.
I don't see CLB as a destination that most NHLer's would readily chose right now. I have seen the Wings relegated to an undesirable destination and know the feeling.
Maybe if the league has a compliance buyout CBS could grab a good vet at a good price.
Hoping to see good things happen w/ this franchise and I will be cheering for them as the dark horse in the play offs! (like last year)
