Hayes on today's episode of Spittin' Chiclets. He had a couple stories about Hart so far that were pretty good.

Thanks for the heads up on this. Just listened to it. That's some funny sheet.

Provorov is a work out animal, but addicted to ice cream. And Hart is color blind and wears the same suit to every game.

Worth the time to listen. I'm still laughing about it.

Thanks for the links, PT. Also reminder to everyone to support your local restaurants with take out and delivery. And tip very heavy. Those people need every bit they can get to survive.

This! And if you're still getting paid please consider continuing to pay for those services you may have temporarily discontinued during this time such as house cleaning, dog walking, lawn services, etc. It's understandable to not want people coming in/out of your house during this time but you want those services to still be there when the dust settles.

Bill, I’ve been noticing all of the NCAA players being signed recently. I’m wondering if the Flyers have any interest in Dryden McKay. After this past season, the Flyers goalie prospects which once seemed rather strong now appear to be mediocre or worse. McKay has had 2 very good seasons and will win the Richter award this year. At age 22 he seems ready to make the move to pro.

I think we have quite a few good goalies in the pipeline and we even gave Berube away for future considerations. We don't need another pro ready goalie, I think they just need to keep drafting and developing to see who works out.

The farm team goalies are coming along and learning the North America game well. Not an area of need from the college ranks. They need forward or maybe depth D help for FA signings, just my opinion though.

I remember the JvR hat trick against the Islanders. If I remember right, we were trying him on the point of the power play.

Some weeks ago, Chuck Fletcher said they did have interest in an unspecified NCAA goalie. But I don't know that I'd agree the system is in bad shape in terms of goaltending depth below the NHL level.

* Ustimenko is ahead of schedule from where they thought he'd be in year 1 of North American pros.

* I wouldn't write off Sandström yet, although his first NA pro season was rocky.

* Ersson is a good prospect.

Thanks Bill, I’m not writing anyone off. I agree Ustimenko had a decent ECHL season but was not impressive in the few AHL games he played. I think you have to agree Sandstrom had a very disappointing season.
Ersson was the #1 for Brynas. He ranked #20 in goalies in a 14 team league.
Staitically the best was Fedotov in the KHL, but that is such a low scoring league it’s tough to judge goalie stats. Anyway he never seems to be mentioned as a prospect.

I just don’t think any of them is showing what you would like to see from a legit prospect so far. That would be performing at least somewhere near the top of the league that they are playing in.

Brynäs was an atrocious defensive team this year. Ersson had more good games than bad ones. He outplayed Ericsson -- a good goalie in his own right with a pretty weak team in front of him -- this season. He'll be fine. Just a year ago, at age 20, he swept every major award in Allsvenskan and starred at the WJC.

The Phantoms, collectively, have had a very disappointing season and it seems pretty clear that morale was low before their own stoppage. Unfortunately, that coincided with most of Ustimenko's time after the recall. He is still raw but is still very young. All in all, he's had a good first year in North America.

As for Sandström, it has been a disappointing first year. He's talented enough to get on track, but between injury issues and insufficient games played his final two seasons in Sweden and then his rocky first year in North America, he'll be a bit of a reclamation project moving forward.

Haven’t checked in here in a while. Just wanted to say that I hope each and everyone of you, as well as your families, are healthy.

It seems like forever ago that we were arguing about systems, players, or anything else Flyers. Man what I would do for that to be the norm again.

Stay safe everyone and I hope to be able to talk hockey with each of you again soon.

I was at that game on the Island. One thing that stood out in my mind was how many Flyers fans were there. I believe it was after the Hat Trick goal the Flyers fans started chanting, "This is our house." Which brought about the reply "You can have it" from the Isles fans. It was hysterical.
