Thanks for the post Dan. Yeah, there are more important things going on right now, and always are. I'm happy we were able to get the State Championship in for hockey here in Minnesota. But just little things like this little article to read help pass the time for everyone. I, for one, appreciate all your blogs on here and everyone else's that I read from time to time as well. It sucks to be quarantined like most of us are right now (I'm actually at the office still, but starting to work from home tomorrow), but finding simple little pleasures to past the time right now will help tremendously in everyone keeping their sanity.

As of right now, thank goodness for NFL free agency. I'm starting to get sick of watching "Finding Bigfoot" and playing Rock/Paper/Scissors on video.

Previous generations would have called this a “bug”. Yes, the flu kills people and it’s sad, but someone give some facts as to why this is different. I believe there are outside motives to this and i believe it has everything to do with money and power. F’ng media is 99% to blame for the ridiculousness. Some of us probably had this thing two months ago. Sorry to post this here but I miss hockey dammit.

Not that I am trying to disagree with you, or start an argument...but I think the problem behind this is that it is a new strain that spreads like wildfire and it stays active on non-living things for several weeks. So the "social distancing" and things like that that are being done is to try and stem the spread. We all will eventually come in contact with the virus, and some will get deathly ill. But what is trying to be stopped is the influx of people going to hospitals when not necessary, helping spread the virus even faster and possibly overflowing the systems set in place to help with those who get deathly ill from the virus.

Yes, thousands die from the flu every year...this is just making it all happen all at the same time.

That is a good point, and I agree it would be a difficult situation if everyone gets it at same time etc. Hopefully we’re out of this thing soon

Agreed I appreciate the post as this is a tough time for sports fans.
The reality is the longer this goes on, the less chance of any sports finishing their seasons. NHL and NBA playoffs were to start in less than a month. March Madness already canceled. MLB was to start in about a month and the NFL camps are coming up. If we get to a time where it should be the offseason for some sports, I wonder what will happen?
