Didn't win the must win. Another win for the Kings on there way to ruin a perfectly good draft pick. |

If they fall, and are "forced" to draft Lucas Raymond, then I'm ok with that. |

Time to let Stalock sit the next few plays out... although it was a terrible total team effort, this was the type of season gaff where the club needs their net-minder to keep them in a game, Stalock failed them just as much as they failed him. |

At some point culture plays a role, if you have a bunch of young guys on the roster trying to win hockey games, this is what you want.
Otherwise you could go way of Sabres (who still have no winning culture) or Oilers who took years to fix their culture.

I was about 45% facetious when I wrote that. They'll get a top 5 pick and get a fantastic player. |

May as well trade Spurgeon and Brodin this summer, as you guys seem to play better after trading away decent players for quality picks. You could easily remain competitive while having 30M cap space....... |

Agreed. Some vets seem complacent with being fringe playoff teams, then there are Eric Staals who take this as an opportunity to rebound. I still don't understand the hate for Suter. At 35, he has 3x the point production of Sunnan, and consistantly paces for 50 points per 80 games while being a very good shutdown D. Parise is on track to hit the 60 point plateau again as well. Neither are overpaid. Trading him for Ladd would be a big mistake. Parise is still top 6, where ladd is bottom 6 AHL calibre. The buyout for Parise in 2023 isn't that bad, especially given the direction the cap is heading. |
