I made the comment recently that I was surprised that the firing of BB had created a boost in production for the Wild. I am going to take that comment back now. I just had it pointed out to me that the Wild were 7-3 in the last 10 games BEFORE BB was fired. So basically, Evason has kept the team at status quo, not enhanced it.

I will say that if it is true that he has loosened the reigns on players to be more open on offense, then he has moved the team in the right direction. Is Evason the answer for the Wild moving forward. I don't believe so. I do believe the offense is better under him, but I think the D was better under BB. So it basically is going to come down to whether BG wants O or D in this next off-season. And please find a goalie if you are not going to bring up Kaapo. Stalock, IMO, is about to run out of juice.

I should add that I really, really don't like these West Cost trips. Games are on too late for me to watch the entire way through. But I am sure I will stay up anyways...anyone else strongly dislike these WC trips?

Mayhew pretty much a nonfactor since his return... Kind of puzzling really. Being one of the leading scorers in the AHL and having such a strong showing earlier in the season in his first go round with the big club... now he looks sort of lost.

Playing 2nd line minutes, one would think he'd be making more of an impact but really hasn't done much of anything even noteworthy. I don't think he even as a point in like 6 games or so since his recall.

I'm sorry TB...I really am sorry. But keep being pissed at them. I superstitious, so maybe it's you being angry that they are not losing is what is making them win? Keep growling until the win the Cup please.

I know I have been all over the "Free Mayhew from Iowa" bandwagon all year long...but yeah, they last couple of games, he appears to be over his head now. I supposed as the games get more physical as they approach the playoffs, it might be a little more than what he can handle. But honestly, who would you rather get ice time, Mayhew or Rask?

Well i'm not going to lie, Rask has done very little to gain my personal favor, but he has looked better this season then last... which i know, isn't saying much but...

Obviously i'd rather see Mayhew get the chance, but not only has he not done anything to warrant being out there, he almost looks as though he's regressed to the level of Rask... Maybe a bit too critical to say that, but if they want to indeed steal that remaining Wild card spot, I think they need Rask over a guy still trying to sew his oats...
