Wild played one of their best first periods of the season, top 5 anyway... Unfortunately the 2nd and 3rd periods left much to be desired... 0 for 7 on the PP, and Nashville pretty much dominated the last 30 minutes of the contest even though they could not muster more than a single goal.
I have to hand it to Stalock, he stood on his head and even though i still do not believe he is a starter in the NHL, he is making an argument to become the number 1... ok maybe 1A...
Wild team defense was much better last night but they are going to have avoid getting complacent or stagnant when they get an early lead. A lot of sloppy play last night...
I would have never thought that letting BB go would become a catalyst for the Wild. But it appears that that is what is happening. I just hope TweaterBen doesn't have to talked off the ledge now that the Wild have started winning just enough to keep them on the edge of the playoffs and are no where NEAR the bottom of the league for a decent draft pick. A month ago, TB's hopes were coming to fruition, but looking today...he just might be out to "Tonya Harding" Guerin or someone else.
