This was a really good post. I think Kreider's invisibility streaks are a bit overstated, but this is a guy who only topped 50 pts twice in his career. He's had an extremely solid career here, but this is a guy who is you can get a king's ransom for, you should absolutely trade him. Even on his monster tear, he's only on pace for 60 points.

stop the epitaph... the fat lady aint sung a note yet ,everything to now is just posturing by both sides ,Krieds has to wake up today and say .." i have an offer of 6.5 mill for 6 yr at the home i know & love and have built so many thing s to cherish ,include this team of players he's become the lead of(se capt 20-21 option) .I can t see him walking away like Cally did ,fine if he does BUT i dont see it ,more than $$$ to a deal , he has alot to leave ,not gonna gain that much back except 1/2 a mill for 6 yrs.... NOT GONNA WALK AWAY FROM THIS DEAL ..aint worth it to do so...

the domino affect on this team mentally as well as the # of trades we will make if we break up the squad as is & ditch the P O run....
I Dont see team selling MOre rebuild crap when on a winning streak & so close to PO's

Maybe NYR will have to flinch & give Kreids a lil more to show the love

I honestly have no clue what is going to happen. All I am saying if you do trade Kreider you better hope you find a replacement for him by next season. Also you better hope Zib and Buch's game don't fall off either. Zib is having a career year playing with Kreider.

Or Is Kreider having a career year playing with Zibanejad?? I honestly never thought Mika was going to be this good. He is now in my eyes Def a top center in the game. He has taken his game to another level. Talk about someone who is going to get paid.

So I'm not advocating we do this before all the don't sign any UFAs posters come out, but if we did move Hank to COL and we did trade CK, we in on Hall?

Kravstov looked good playing for Hartford yesterday. That kid has skill. IMO it's going to be a couple of years before he can be counted on as a Ranger. Gropp looked good as well. Don't think anyone is ready to replace Kreider, currently in the minors right now.

Hall scares me because he can’t stay healthy.

You want to pay Hall close to 10 million per year?

Its not just 1/2 million which as you say is nothing. Its the 7th year at 7 million which makes him losing 10.5 million

So not true, this is hockey, the ultimate team sport. One player doesnt define a team. The Oilers won the Cup without Wayne.

Lias Andersson is 50th on TSN's trade bait list

which coincidentally is where he should have been drafted

The day is finally here. Some predictions:

1) Kreider will get traded today by noon, or 1 pm the latest. So many other deals are pending the outcome of where Kreider goes, he won't be a last minute trade at the 3 pm deadline. Lets just hope Gorton doesn't overplay his hand.

2) Hank doesn't want to leave NY, so he is staying.

3) Can't believe rumors started about Staal. I find it difficult to believe that anyone would trade for him at this point for even 50% of his cap. He stays.

4) Carolina will make a big trade for a goalie today, but it won't involve Georgi. He stays.

5) I will miss Quickie, but he goes today to a contender. He actually is an UFA that could possibly return this summer.

6) One of Smith, Skjei or D'Angelo will get moved today. I hope its Smith

7) Originally thought Strome would be on the move, but seeing how Rangers promoted Strome's Mom on the Mother's trip ---- they couldn't possibly trade him now, could they?

Enjoy the day today ----- and try to get some work done already!
