With every deal that's been made since the Zucker deal, the Zucker deal looks like a better and better one each day. - Rinosaur
Truth. Listened to Rupp somewhere yesterday and he said while Zucker has been good, the injury must still be bothering him because the speed isn't where it usually is. Expects him to be even better at some point |

Manson is overrated and overvalued by Anaheim. He gets carried by Lindholm and makes too much to be your 3rd best RD. - Feds91Stammer
If there was a Kase-esque deal that sent JJ to the Ducks and Manson came back the other way I'd be all in. I'd rather overpay for Manson than JJ. |

Except Boston's 1st is 1 pick away from the 2nd round. Kase is cheap this year and next and is still a RFA after next season. Dumping all but $1.5M of Backes' $5M this year and next is pretty huge. I don't know anything about the prospect other than he is a righty defender selected at #57. I'd say this is a great deal for Boston (which doesn't necessarily mean it is a bad trade for ANA). - Hockey66
It's a great deal for Boston if Kase gets healthy this season and performs and can stay healthy next season. |

So, we can we talk about how McCann has sucked ass since the start of the new year at 5v5? |

He's definitely been struggling the last few for sure. He seems to disappear on the wing. He's had opportunities in some of the games and has flubbed them. Lots of turnovers in bad spots too. Like he lost his hands. |

Yah, just 2 goals and 2 assists at 5v5 since January 1st. I would love to see him center his own line again. Still a lot of lineup questions out there. |

Someone is acknowledging MARINO is good. Haha! I thought you said he sucked |

He’s been good so far so I would stick with him over Manson unless his play regressed a bit. |

I did a week or two ago but got called out on it because he had two secondary assists. |

Lol, that's hilarious. I'd Ike for him to go back to 3c. None of this Agozzino/Sid centering the third line... |

Not a bad idea to try him there. It just isn't working. |

We can't have Agozzino anywhere in the line up come playoffs.
Even if Bjug comes back and pushes him out of the lineup how long will he be healthy? It's a necessity to have a 4th line that can contribute more than 5 mins a game come playoffs.
I did want to see Laff with the Blueger line but wasn't impressed. Horny looked better there. |

Don't know if anybody has mentioned this, but I heard on the radio Kahun is day to day. So....that's good. Looked like he needed an amputation last night. |

Eakin for a reasonable cost kind of makes me wonder if we can get Tierny from Ottawa for something reasonable. |

Vegas likes to give up dumb poop for so-so players. Maybe we can send them Bjugstad for a 2nd and Cody Glass. |

Tierny for a 3rd or 4th could work. Just not sure he fills a niche we really need. |

Yea not so sure I wanna pick up a pure center, not even sure if Tierney plays wing as well. I'd like McCann to center the third line most of the time. |

Well that's good to hear, he maybe can get to that level come playoffs, I think he's been really good so far. I remember everyone here talking about getting Zucker and when I went to the Pens game this year when we destroyed the Wild he was soon back from his injury he looked bad and I was thinking wtf do we want him for lol. |

Cody walk-in for a 4th was a steal imo even though he’s having a down year. With not much trade stock that’s what you need to find.
I’d be hella stoked for jumbo tho!

Meh...if they were giving him away so to speak, I'd give him a try. Definitely not sending worthwhile assets to SJ. I'd rather go young(er) and fast(er). We would sure get more calls, though, based on the sentimentality that surrounds him.
Speaking of centers, everybody assumes that acquiring a center would bump McCann to winger, but why not bump Blueger to winger? Sure, it means that either McCann or new guy would be 4C, but maybe it would mean spreading the time out more and lead to 4 legit scoring lines. |

In other news, Francouz gets a new 2 year deal for only $2M per. Great deal for a really good backup. One less good goalie hitting free agency, too. |

The same was said about Iginla and he was a much better player at that stage of his career. |
