Thanks Carol.

Love the early start time tomorrow.

Ducks are 4 star players away from competing again.

Kane's a shmuck, that's why Lefty likes him. The success he never was.

Hes not wrong at all. He deserves his suspension, but parros is an absolute joke at the helmet of DOPS.

I don't think DoPs has been bad lately have they. What have they missed or got wrong?

Chara cross-checking Gallagher in the throat is one that comes to mind. Boston late hit on Petey is questionable. I'm sure there are a number this year, just don't watch all the highlights to see the good and bad. And I'm of the mind if they want the game to be safer/more skilled, they have to dish out more suspensions for poopty plays and make the egregious ones much longer.

It's been a joke for a while, before Parros got there.

Two minutes for cross checking or roughing, two minutes for a late hit or a trip.

Neither were excessive or targeted the head or hit from behind.

Earlier this morning, the Department of Player Safety announced that San Jose Sharks forward Evander Kane would receive a hearing that for elbowing Winnipeg Jets’ defenseman Neal Pionk Friday. However, it didn’t take the DoPS to come to a decision, as it suspended Kane for three games for the incident.

So the Matheson hit on Petey was only a roughing call?

Cross-check to the throat is the pretty equal to the head.

As well, the Tkachuk hits earlier this year on Kassian should have been disciplined.

I'll straight out say it. If they call hockey the way you want it. I'd quit watching immediately. It would be (frank)en boring. Girls ringette would be rougher than you'd like.

Leivo's injury should definitely have resulted in a suspension. Hit from behind into the boards on a player who did not have the puck. How can they possibly defend their position that it didn't even warrant consideration?

Kane was correct in his comment that an independent third party panel needs to take over from the Mickey Mouse Club. Until that changes it doesn't matter who they put in. They're just going to be puppets for Gary and his band of charlatans.

I agree, but I also agree that DoPS should be consistent and they are not, not even close.

A penalty on Leivo for sure. It's an awkward play and unfortunate injury but he's not out there being a predator. Give's him a good nudge from behind and Leivo isn't prepared and falls akwardly.

A certain amount of games for certain incidents? They are different incidents and offenders are different.

There is some poor missed penalties but to hand out suspensions is a lot more than handing out a 2 minute penalty.

Consistency would probably start with independent 3rd party.

Absolutely, but consider your Leivo example, the player has to be responsible for his actions, Vancouver lost a player for 3 weeks over an uncalled, illegal infraction. Regardless if the on ice referee’s missed the infraction it is the role of DoPS to rule that Motte was in a vulnerable position and the offending player should have been punished, I am not saying 1,2,10 games, could be a fine, could be a suspension but be consistent.

Roussel was just fined for an infraction that Chara or Marchand get away with constantly.

So I whole heartily agree that DoPS should be a 3rd party not employed by the NHL and not headed up by past dirty players like Parros or Shanahan
