They don't have their 1st round pick to offer anyway.

Leafs 2020 first round pick is already tied up from the Marleau deal.

Probably a guy like Kerfoot would be the return.

Cost certainty and scoring/some speed as well.

Cringe is a big word, Jones is out, it was our third goaltender and may I remind we are decimated by injuries .

.....Also ek screwed up again and named an injured player in trade discussions

I wouldnt trade higher than a 3rd round pick for Anderson. Down year even when he was healthy. Very small sample size but still

You guys are acting like this could actually happen. Ek is batting 0 for 1,000,000 right now when it comes to predicting trades.

He has no connections. As always, this is fabricated nonsense

If it's Crowfoot, then do the deal tonight. Watched him all season and still have no idea what his upside is.

Johnsson just hurt his knee last night, after coming back from a broken foot. Not sure CBJ will want him if they’re still going for the PO’s.

He's signed at a decent amount going forward and it's not like Anderson is producing for them this season. Barrie is the playoff piece to help put up more scoring in Jones's absence. Toss in bracco if need be so it feels like less of a rental

Ya his value has dropped significantly. 1 goal in 26 games is just criminal compared to last seasons numbers. I think Toronto may be better looking at Coleman on Njd. He has back to back 20+ goal seasons, plays a similar physical/grinder role, and would only cost 900k if Jersey decided to retain 50% going into next season. He's the bargain 20 goal grinder they need.

Isn't Anderson still on the IR?
Is the current injury (Borowiecki fight) his shoulder again or a concussion?

Sadly, the last two games told us what we are, and that is not a playoff team. Losing Atkinson and Jones on top of everyone else is too big a hill to climb.

Time to sell, collect picks, and/or get some high-end offensive talent in here. Spend some $$$ in the summer after signing our RFA's and any UFA's worth keeping, and get people in here who can put the puck in the back of the net.

I doubt if the CBJ can get in the playoffs, but unless you think that losing a first round series to Washington or Tampa is something good for all the young players on the roster then don't trade for anyone at the deadline. I'd rather find a way to build a team capable of wining the cup instead losing a first or second round playoff series every year until the inevitable major rebuild.

indeed both loses of Atkinson and Jones is the back breaker
