Man the returns these players are getting. Flip Brodie and Hamonic at this rate.

No kidding!
If there was any doubt about trading Brodie and Hammer it went out the window today with the price paid for pending UFA Andy Greene.

So any ideas what the (frank) is the problem with this team?

I rememeber years back when JG, SM, and Hudler showed up hung over to practice after super bowl.

Wonder if what we lack is a strong leader? One that would not have any problem throwing a young stars clothes into the shower if they are misbehaving (like Big Buff and E Kane).

Love Gio but he seems to lead by example. We have seen long stretches this year when our best players have been our worst players and seems like there has never been a veteran leader in the top 6 that has kept these young stars in line.

After watching enough games this season they do not really seem to be playing for the pride of the logo or to make sure their coach has a job next year.

I don’t think it’s gio at all ...he does everything a captain should on the ice ...I have a hard time putting this on him.
These players are paid to play and a large portion are not playing up to their standards. To me that is either coaching or the players themselves. Players like Bennett, janko, and backs should have double their point totals.

I’m honestly ready to see a big trade. As long as it’s not Tkachuk or Lindholm I’m open to anyone else moved if the return is good enough

I think it will happen, but not right now. Think it will be in the off season.

Not trying to say Gio is a bad captain at all. Just extremely disappointed in the effort we see some nights.

If I was a season ticket holder I would be pissed.

They play too cute ....everything is a drop pass or one touch pass. The games at home lately they are not making the simple smart plays ...

Bergeron is desperate, absolutely desperate for a top line Centre. Now many of us dont think he is top line calibre but his string of 30 goal seasons does not get ignored. How about a deal where we send Monahan to Montreal for Domi, Petry & a pair of 2nd round picks as the Habs have lots of picks? Petry is signed for next year & it would allow us to possibly move Hamonic or Brodie. I would rather try to re-sign Brodie to a 4 year deal in that 4.0 mill range but doubt he takes that. So if both Brodie & Hamonic walk, at least we Gio/Petry/Anderson/Hanifin slated for top 4 & with Petry expiring, he wont have to be protected for the expansion draft. Just spitballing, getting impatient

I’m open to all ideas...

I would like to see a line of Tkachuk, Monahan, and lindholm for a bit

Johnny can support another line easily if he isn’t going up against top pairings

Wondering what it would take to get a legit 1C. Not that any are available.
